Rainbow low-volume charm swap is live! Due date April 11. More info and sign up through link in profile. Swipe left to see some examples of great fabric options... there are tons out there!
Did you all see this amazing bundle that @elisabew posted the other day? She graciously gave permission for me to repost it. I’m wondering if there is any interest in a rainbow low-volume charm swap?
Just gauging interest for now... thinking each swapper would buy a yard of fabric, cut it into 5” squares, and send it to me to be swapped out. Due date of late March/early April... let me know if you are interested!
Happy to be sending this #bluerkblocks quilt back to @craftycop tomorrow! @needleinaquiltstack completed the quilting on it a while ago and I don’t know why it took me so long to bind it and sew on the label!
Jessica, thanks for letting us participate in this great project!
In October 2016 we were able have the adventure of a lifetime living in India for a month. We spent a week with @risingstaroutreach , and since today is #worldleprosyday , it seems appropriate to revisit our time there! We loved the people, food, and culture of this amazing country. And we appreciated our week spent getting to know some really amazing people affected with leprosy. It’s a treatable disease, but still has much stigma attached to it. Rising Star Outreach works to alleviate poverty of those with leprosy by providing medical treatment, offering education for their children, and granting micro loans to help them start businesses and become self-sufficient. I documented a couple of stories on my blog (www.cookcleansew.com).
Even under the poorest of conditions, the people we met were happy and generous. I hope my kids will remember our time and the people we met and know that happiness in life is a product of doing for others. Thank you Rising Star!
PSA: don’t mix @modafabrics #winterberry background prints with #misskate flannels unless you are going for a pink Christmas quilt.😩 I’ve tried washing it several times with the color catchers, tried spray and wash directly on the pink. Nothing is working. It didn’t stain any of the other fabrics, only the Winterberry backgrounds (that sliver of aqua for the sky is also stained.)
I’m thinking of remaking it because this was one of my favorites. 😭
***CLOSED!Thank you all for the amazing response!*** I’ve got a couple of patterns I need tested. One is ready now! If you are interested in making a lap size or baby size quilt to test my pattern for me, please DM me your email address for more details. (Not the quilt pictured.)
Here are my #topnine2017 IG pics, and apparently you all like #bonnieandcamille , #handbinding , and #puppies as much as I do! 😍
I counted up my quilt finishes for 2017 and I think I managed to make 17 lap-size or larger quilts. Here’s to an equally productive 2018!
A few months ago I realized I had never made my son @eparker19 a quilt!😳 had to remedy that and when he was younger he was slightly obsessed with whether or not Big Foot was real, so of course @elizabethagh #legendaryquilt was the only way to go!
Quilted by @needleinaquiltstack with an open woodgrain pattern, and a super cozy flannel from @joann_stores on the back.
