// we have been a little slack lately as we started the new year, this little man started kindergarten two weeks ago and there has been some adjusting! .
** a bit of a long post sorry! ** .
In the first week we received reports that our usually happy, friendly and interactive little man, didn’t want to participate in group activities and was withdraw in the classroom. We also noticed some unusual behaviours at home, which I put down to a few changes to his usual routine. Then this kind and gentle little man called a teacher “stupid”, and this is not something I have ever heard him say. I decided it was time to sit down and have a big talk about how kindy was going. This is when I’ve found out there is a child who for no better word is bullying my gorgeous little boy. This little boy is repeating kindy, so while William is 3 this little boy is already 5. I realise that kids will be kids, but this little boy is relentless and it seems the educators these days really don’t have much they can do. Anyone else been in this position... I don’t know what to do. He has always loved daycare and still has lots of the same little friends in his class, but one little boy is making the transition hard. .
// we have been so busy lately trying to get ready to sell our house and move, we have not been out to the farm since before Christmas! the kids are certainly missing their Aunty and her zoo! and I’m missing our days out exploring and enjoying fun adventures..
// somedays they are amazing and even feed each other.. then there are days like today, where I actually find myself separating each other as they seem like they will rip each other to pieces if they even look in the same direction. It’s an emotional mess in our house today, late night, early morning, combined with all this hot weather has left these two little cherubs cranky and exhausted. William hasn’t been having naps for probably over a year, but I have just put the two of the down and I’m having some me time! Sincerely a tired and exhausted mumma!
// these two melt my heart, sure they have their bickering, there are tears and constant dobbing, but when they get along it’s almost magical. It’s a bond like no other. A few nights ago they even asked to sleep in the same bed.. and to our surprise they actually went to sleep! Such magical moments and I’m so glad I am able to capture them.
// my little man is at home chillaxing with dad in his super cool @roarsomekid tee... I wish I was enjoying a day off with them. I am really starting to feel like I need a mini holiday, even a week somewhere. I feel like even Hough I have days off I’m so busy doing housework and everyday chores it’s not really time off. Anyone else feel like that? I’m constantly exhausted between hectic work and busy home life.
// happy new years! i would have to say my favourite part of New Year’s Eve is reflecting on the year we’ve had. The high and lows, time spent with old friends, new friends we’ve met along the way, milestones and accomplishments, lessons learnt, and special memories we’ve made. I am sure each year goes by faster as I get older and my little munchkins are growing up way too fast, but the memories we have made will last a lifetime. I am so very grateful for all our friends and family who have been a part of our lives this year, and I’m looking forward to everything that 2018 brings our way! Wishing you all a fabulous night and a happy and prosperous 2018!!
// just swinging into the weekend... and the new year! I’ll be working the entire New Years weekend... but what are your plans!? I usually end up missing midnight anyway, despite every year telling myself I’m going to stay up to see the new year in!
// did you hear... @lilrayofsunshine_ is having a special birthday sale to celebrate Michelle’s (the owner) birthday! Make sure you pop over and wish her a belated happy birthday and have a look at the fabulous sale! .

// a successful Santa photo! last year we almost needed a panoramic photo to capture the kids and Santa in the same frame, but this year William was more than happy to sit on his lap and tell him what he’d like for Christmas... (I may or may not have threatened him with getting smelly socks if Santa didn’t know what he wanted 😂) and well ivy wasn’t keen but she also didn’t cry... so I’ll take that as a win! Only five sleeps to go! How did your Santa photos go this year!?!
// I’m starting to think I need a holiday! I have always been the person who doesn’t get sick in our house but recently I feel like I just get over one thing to get sick with the next! The only thing I can put it down to is being run down... anyone else seem to get sick when they are run down?! Feeling grateful that today I can try and sleep it off while the little monkeys are at daycare.
// the weekend is finally here, today we have the kids Christmas party and they are both ecstatic... mumma isn’t quite feeling it yet while I’m sitting at work waiting for the morning staff to arrive. But while I am sitting and thinking about what William and Ivy will wear and what I need to take, there is one thing I am sure of, William will most definitely be wearing these 👆🏼 his absolute favourite shoes! As you would know kids go through so many phases and some characters are easier to find than others, we have been through Lightning McQueen, Superheroes like Hulk & Spider-Man, and now we are all about Transformers, in particular BumbleBee and Optimus Prime! Sometimes it’s hard to find clothing the kids like but after finding @handmadebyjessicalee I have never had an argument with William about which shoes he wants to wear! These have been a huge hit, and William has worn them almost everyday since they arrived!
// ivy & wal-wal... best friends forever! These two are pretty much inseparable when we visit the farm, a mutual friendship filled with lots of kisses and cuddles! Hopefully one day he will come live with us for his retirement!
// don’t they look so sweet and innocent! Hopefully this is the vibe they bring today when we go to visit Santa! I’ve got my positive panties on today, hoping this year at least one of them will actually sit on Santa’s lap rather than both sitting a metre away! How have your Santa photos been this year!?
