I'll have you know that despite showing up today to find the phone and Internet were down, I decided to be productive and get work done. I set up a hotspot on my cell phone so I could use my register and Internet, and started processing the hundreds of books I bought yesterday.
Then the power went out.
I called PG&E, I waited it out a little, and then decided there was no point sitting in the dark with no phone or Internet or electricity or anything at all, so I brought in my carts, put my things in my car, put a note on the door, and was planning to leave. Shortly thereafter I was (unfortunately) still in the vicinity to be aware that the power was back on (phone and Internet have magically returned, too) and I have since returned to the store.
The moral of the story is that despite how much I tried this morning, I am so over it and will be accomplishing pretty much nothing for the rest of the day. But I'm here.
