I am so indescribably proud of the women who have stood up and spoken their truth and broken the silence, despite all of the hate and the accusations.
I am so proud of the dreamers who have been brave enough to stand up against the threats they’ve received, despite all those who oppose them.
I am so proud of women everywhere coming together against the cruelties of the current administration.
And to the others who have been villainized by the Trump administration: poc. Lgbtq. Immigrants. Muslims. I am proud of you and I stand with you.
Persist, and we persist with you.
I’m not at a women’s march (I didn’t realize there were marches today, not just the lv one tomorrow, I kinda suck at planning) but I’m definitely going to next year’s, as well as supporting female empowerment movements through the year.
Speaking it into existence: 2018 is for women. The silence ends now.
Happy MLK day. There’s a lot of things I could say, but I think the most important is this: we have come far, but we still have a long way to go. Systematic oppression is not erased overnight, and to pretend that things are now fine and racism no longer persists is ignorant and part of the problem.
As a white person I’m still educating myself and learning what I need to do as an ally. I do care deeply about this issue, please call me out if I ever say anything offensive or ignorant.
Popular opinion, Stranger Things and David should’ve won their nominations
But that’s ok, they all seemed to have a good time
Also Millie and Sadie’s dresses were amazing
