Have to say - I haven’t been too impressed with the Brownsville Mexican restaurants.
This was eggs with cactus, grilled potatoes, beans, and corn tacos. I thought I’d eat the egg mix on the corn tortillas. The eggs and cactus were bland but drenched in vegetable oil. The tacos were dry and barely warm. The potatoes were obviously frozen and fried. And the beans were actually cold and sugary.
Haven’t actually found a good taco place here yet - at least nothing that beats my homemade stuff. I’ve honestly been super confused about this. I’m not going to bother pointing out the name of this Cafe on Boca Chica Blvd because it could be any of them from what we’ve tried since moving here a month ago.
But when the #whitegirlinthevalley cooks better street/breakfast tacos than any restaurant so far - makes me think abt opening up a taco truck. LOL
Maybe @brownsvillefoodies has some good options. Maybe we will just start eating out based on that account’s feed. 🤪 #lazyfoodieproblems
