And this is reality πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ a LOT of my workouts are done literally in the small pockets of time I have in a day. This one only lasted 10 minutes but that was enough to get my sweat on & feel the burn πŸ’ͺYep I was in my pjs, yep I was interrupted by the babies (actually just Summer today) several times (she smacked her face climbing over me 😭) but I still got it done. Hopefully seeing this gives you the motivation you need to move your body, even if it is for just 10 minutes. It doesn't have to be perfect it just has to get done 😘😘

You know what actually got me off my ass and onto the road? It was you guys, yep all of you! Because I've publicly declared my goal I know you're all watching me, supporting me, following along with my journey and this spurred me on. So I want to say thank you. Thank you for giving me the accountability I needed in a tough moment. .
Now I want to encourage those of you out there with you own goals to share them. Make it known that you're chasing something, big or small, it doesn't matter, share it with people and use that as your own personal accountability & motivation when you get stuck. .

Soooo it's no secret I don't like to cook.. like I can (debatable πŸ˜‚πŸ˜) but I'm just not one of those 'lemme get in the kitchen and cook up a storm' kinda mums. But of the few dishes I do cook this is one I fucking nail, seriously even tooting my own, I own this bad boy. It's what James always requests & it's what I always bring if you invite me owner for dinner πŸ˜‚ Chilli con carne is my little black dress.. she never lets me down and always makes the night better. And best of all its so damn easy to make. So if you're like me and cbf with cooking or would like something super easy to whip up here's the recipe πŸ‘‡

Chilli Con Carne
βœ–Ingredients:
1 onion 
4 tins crushed tomatoes 
2 tins 5 bean mix (or any beans you like)
500gms beef mince (optional if you wanna go vego) 
Smoked paprika, Morocco spice & chilli to taste 
Optional: carrots, zucchini, sweet potato if you're a fancy ass .
βœ–Method: 
Brown the onion then the mince in a fry pan with a little oil 
Add everything (like everything) into a slow cooker (preferred cos it's easy AF!) or a saucepan and cook on low.. the longer the better! I usually have it simmering for 2 hours

Serve with cous cous or rice .

Before my run this morning, and all week actually, I'd been really hard on myself for not exercising more & not eating 100% on point (I'd forgotten I was human 😩). Naturally, I started to focus on all my 'flaws' - you know the shit you say to your husband or bestie about yourself and they can't even notice, yer those. Now, usually I'm pretty good at turning my mindset around and shutting down the shitty thoughts but for whatever reason the mean bitch in my mind wasn't shutting up! It was gonna take a little more. .
So as I headed out for my run this morning I decided to go further than I have since starting my training and really push myself. And guess what happened.. (I swear The Universe has a real pisser with my life πŸ˜‚) I hit a PB!! Never have I run that fast in my actual life! And you know what, when I got back and was a hot, sweaty, tomato faced mess, I felt fucking amazing about myself! It's amazing how our mindset can change when we set & achieve a challenge.
. 
My point in all of this is that yes, sometimes the shitty thoughts can take over for what seems like lifetime but all it takes is a change of state. Sometimes that mental & sometimes it's physical. It could be moving your body, it could be reading positive quotes, it could be chatting to a friend, it could be challenging yourself. Find whatever it is for you and DO IT! Only you can take yourself from where you are to where you want to be 😘

Last weekend I reach a point I haven't been at for a very long time. In all honesty it snuck up on me, one day I was totally fine the next I was completely overwhelmed. Nothing in particular really set me off, I guess it was a combination of things - months of sleep deprivation, managing the twins, running a business, the usual mum stuff. I've always said I'll be raw & honest with you guys so I wanted to share this because I know how common it is amongst mummas.

I realised that I hadn't been making enough time for myself. I'm usually really good at this because I'm aware of it & how important it is but as with all things life we can get caught up in the everyday & forget.  Now mummas, I'm here to tell you it's totally ok to feel like this!! But the important thing is you do something about it! Since then James has been amazing (he always is, he just didn't know I needed a little more help than normal) because I SPOKE UP and asked for help (you guys know how much I love it when he washes the bottles in the morning πŸ™). That's important babes, you don't need to suffer in silence cos 'you're the mum and it's your job'. We all need help sometimes and that's ok ❀

So my message to you mummas is to remember yourSELF.. trust me I get it, time is always against us, we have little people who need us & a job you don't clock off from. BUT if you don't look after you, none of that will happen & you'll crash!! So please, today/this weekend/as soon as you can, do something just for YOU and make it a regular thing. A run, a manicure, get a wash & blowdry, go to the shops on your own, coffee with a friend, a workout at the gym, anything that is just yours! You know, since doing more things for myself & noticing I need regular me time, I've been a better mother, better wife & better health coach to my tribe. Interesting huh πŸ€”πŸ˜

I love the feeling of satisfaction I get from a good, hard workout. I love the energy I have after & I love how I FEEL good within myself. Is this moon thing still happening? Cos Miss Summer was completely out of sorts last night. She screamed for 3 hours from 11pm 😩 literally nothing would help! I gave her teething stuff, fed her twice, tried Dymadon, we even brought her into our bed and nothing worked! I think she eventually just got tired. I think though she may have been playing us cos as soon as we went in she'd stop crying & start laughing πŸ€” can a 9 month old do that? Was she having me on? .
Needless to say I've woken up this morning a little tired & not my usual self. I know I'll be right in a few hours and it's largely due to my breakfast (yes I'm human so I'll be having a coffee to!). You see my superfood smoothie takes 30 seconds to prepare (and with twins sometimes even that is to long πŸ˜‚), tastes delicious & FILLS ME UP so I'm not hungry an hour later when babies are getting ready for a nap. Most importantly though it's full of EVERYTHING I need from a meal.. protein, good fats from coconut oil, carbs, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, amino acids, the lot! It's NOT a diet shake (I'm breastfeeding), it's a so I can nourish my body with quality nutrients so I can keep up with this motherhood gig. Just like having me time & moving your body is so important for keep you well so is your nutrition mumma πŸ‘Œ It makes the world of difference to how you FEEL and you guys know that's my main priority for this year, FEELING like a fucking badass that can take on the world, not like the sleep deprived mumma I am. Nourishing my body quick & easily is me putting myself first ❀

Sometimes I wish I could put them back in there to keep them safe and honestly, to keep me safe. There's so much unknown when they're earth side, so much fear about screwing it up, so much worry for their wellbeing. And it all rests on you! You are responsible for raising this little person/little people literally overnight. Like seriously they let you leave the hospital with these babies without even seeing the car seat they'll go home in πŸ™ˆ I've been checked over more intently at a night club! Then you get home and it's just you and them trying to figure each other out. It's this crazy whirlwind of tears, love, mistakes, happiness & moments of gratitude all rolled into one. There really is nothing like it πŸ’•

What do you miss about those early days mummas? For me it's the newborn cuddles, the way they nestle into my neck and fall asleep cos boobie time is just so exhausting 😍 now they're much to busy to cuddle their mumma 😭

Really it's a lack of sleep update 😭 it's been over a week since I last fed the girls in the middle of the night and ever since they have woken at 4am, taking it in turns each day! This morning Summer was up from 4.50am and wouldn't sleep for more than 15 mins at a time! So finally at 6am I gave in πŸ˜‘

What do I do mummas? Is this a normal progression now that we're not feeding during the night? Do I go back to feeding them at 4am when they first wake? Help a tired mumma out πŸ™πŸ™ And if you're going through this I'd love to know, we can share in the pain together πŸ˜‚
SLEEP UPDATE 😴😴 . Really it's a lack of sleep update 😭 it's been over a week since I last fed the girls in the middle of the night and ever since they have woken at 4am, taking it in turns each day! Even the babies want the vegan superfood bar πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ seriously though they always look at me like this when I eat even when they've JUST EATEN!! And often they havent eaten all of their meal 😐Whyyyyyy?? Here I am trying to enjoy a healthy snack after a workout and there's 2 babies eyeballing me for it 🀀🀀 .
Do your babies/kids do this? Is this a sigh of what's to come? What's mine is theirs?
