Finished an #aeroplanebag by @sewsweetness this weekend! I love it. I really want to make another one on a smaller scale. Had fun figuring this pattern out with the help of some lovely ladies!! @lemonadeladybug @oliesshoppe @laurasaulroos @lois1839 @6littlestitches
Rearanging my sewing area. I sew in the family room and I really like it because I’m not cut off from the goings on in this room. Grateful that I have a room big enough, but want to eliminate clutter, and keep storage space.
Not quilting today. Working on a new flag for the robotics team I help mentor. They needed updated colors and logo. Using my silhouette to cut their team numbers out of heat transfer foil. Working well despite my impatience with the instructions.
I was hoping to get a better picture of this yesterday but I didn’t finish it before the sun went down. Just glad it is done!! First finished wip for the year! I used @modafabrics #brambleberryfabric for this. It had been in my stash for a while and decided it wasn’t doing me any good in a drawer. I used the @missouriquiltco tutorial on you tube called summer in the park. I am calling this walk in my grandma’s garden. The prints are a somewhat vintage look with strawberries and small flowers. Reminded me of my grandma. #showmethemoda#missouristarquiltco#quilting#quilt#machinequilting#sogladtohaveitdone#msqshowandtell
This is how I maneuver my quilts when I do straight stitching in my home machine. I roll in both sides toward the area I am about to quilt. Then I fold up the bottom so I can just unfold as the machine, and walking foot, pulls the quilt through. It help with keeping the quilt up and stops it from getting caught on the edge of the table or in my lap. Also helps keep the fabric a bit more stable with less chance of tucks in the backing. I’m getting this quilt done this weekend. I want it DONE! #machinequilting
