This resonated with me a lot when I saw it and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. My dad has been in the military for thirty years this month. Thirty years of sacrifice, honor, and duty. Thirty years I and a lot of people I know couldn’t have stood. My fiancé was also in, did several long tours, and sacrificed everything he had at the time for us and this country. Sometimes (most, actually) they get absolutely nothing in return. These men were selfless and brave, and I am so proud of where I come from. To every veteran, whether you served two years or twenty, thank you for your service and sacrifice for this country.
