I am currently reading Obsidio, I'm about half way through and I love it! I'm hoping to finish this today and maybe make a start on Stardust.
I finished Blood and Sand by C. V. Wyk on Thursday, I really enjoyed it and gave if 4⭐️. I also completed my #theunreadshelfproject2018 for March yesterday. I finished The Hobbit which I have owned for approximately 5 years. Quite the unpopular opinion but I found it a little disappointing. I still really enjoyed it and will definitely continue with Lord of the Rings.
It's release day in the U.K. for Burn Bright by Patricia Briggs. I've already made a start and I'm so happy to be returning to this world. A night of reading and tea for me.
I finished A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet on Tuesday and it was brilliant. The characters are amazing, it was a little bit of a slow burner but I really liked it. I also finished Ready Player One yesterday, I read along to the audiobook by Will Wheaton and he really did it justice.

A day of reading and drinking tea/coffee planned for today. I'm currently reading A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, I've only read about 50 pages but it seems interesting so far.
#theunreadshelfproject2018 have put up there challenge for March - Spring Clean. The idea is to pick a book that is on your unread shelf and if you don't finish it by the end of March, it has to be unhauled.
I've chosen The Hobbit for this, it was on my TBR for this month anyway but I've been trying to read it for about 5 years with no progress. Hopefully the thought of parting with it will prompt me to read it 🙈
Happy World Book Day!
I finished Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop this morning, so I'm already off to a good start. I love this series and if you like urban fantasy I would definitely recommend this! This was a 5⭐️ read for me. I'm almost finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy, whilst I'm enjoying the storyline, I don't like the writing style. I've been reading along to the audiobook and I think that's the only thing that saved it for me.
I am terrible at sticking to a monthly TBR however the books pictured are all books I would love to get to in 2018, so if I manage to read any of them in March I'll be happy! Quite a few of these are from my unread shelf so here's to progress.
I'm hoping to read around 20 books and my main goal is to read more of Outlander. I'm very nearly finished Voyager so hopefully I'll manage Drums of Autumn too.
Lots of snow in the UK today, I got a nice early finish so a cozy evening reading and drinking tea is planned.
My book haul for this month is quite big and I didn't manage to read all of the books I bought, which I'd been aiming to do. See my book haul below (slide 1):

I have completed the #25infive challenge, yay! 😊😊😊
I've read for 25 hours and 27 minutes. I managed to finish 4 books and I've started 2 more within the time.
1. Annihilation - Jeff VanderMeer - 2⭐️
2. Every Heart a Doorway - Seanan McGuire - 5⭐️
3. Outlander - Diana Gabaldon - 5⭐️
4. An Enchantment of Ravens - Margaret Rogerson - 3⭐️ I've started the following books:-
Dragonfly in Amber - Diana Gabaldon (245 pages read)
Down Among the Sticks and Bones - Seanan McGuire (30 pages read). I've read a total of 1396 pages over the last 5 days. I had hoped to at least read 5 books as I can usually manage to read a book a day but I'm equally pleased that I've read Outlander. It's been on my TBR since July or August and it was a hefty read.
This was a great readathon!
I am over 200 pages into Dragonfly in Amber. I think it's really unlikely I'll have this finished tomorrow, with the size of the books/series I don't want to get overwhelmed and end up in a slump. I think I'm going to read other books alongside and then switch between them.
I'm just over 20 hours through the #25infive readathon, I really want to try and finish another book before it ends tomorrow. I'm hoping that will be An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson as I've read almost 200 pages so it shouldn't take me long to finish.
There is a currently a #owlcrateathon in progress, unfortunately I've never subscribed to this box as I'm in the U.K. but the readathon is open to everyone. I own quite a few of the books that they have featured so I'm going to try to read a couple over the next 2 weeks.
I'm just over 15 hours into the #25infive readathon. I've finished Annihilation, Every Heart a Doorway and Outlander.
I've read 944 pages so far which I'm quite pleased with. I've been watching the first season of Outlander whilst waiting for my order of Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander 2) to arrive.
Now that it's hear I plan to read for the rest of the afternoon, I'm hoping to make quite a bit of progress with it and at least have it finished by the end of #25infive but considering its over 900 pages long, that may not be possible.
I have read for 5 hours and 42 minutes so far in the #25infive readathon.
I finished Annihilation last night, I wasn't a fan of this book, I didn't like the characters and it was quite boring in parts. I skimmed the middle section and read the last 50 pages or so. I won't be continuing with this series - 2⭐️. I'm now reading Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire and I love it. The characters are brilliant and the storyline is amazing so far. I've read 118 pages and I should have this finished this afternoon.
Once finished I'm hoping to make some more progress on my Outlander audiobook and then I think I'll go back to An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson.
I'm going to participate in #25infive which starts today through to 12th February.
I'm hoping to clear up my CR list on Goodreads and as I'm part way through Percy Jackson, Cry Wolf, An Enchantment of Ravens and Annihilation, I'm hoping to read these books during this #readathon .
I would also love to read Every Heart a Doorway and The Belles or at the very least make a start on them.
I'm not expecting to get through all of the books pictured, my main goal is to reread the Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega books by Patricia Briggs, before Burn Bright comes out in March. I'm aiming to read every book that I purchase in February by the end of the month and make a dent in the remaining books from January.
January Wrap Up!
Slide 2 features the books I purchased this month. Quite a few books (20 books and 4 ebooks) but I'm quite proud of myself for reading more books than I purchased. 📖
Slide 3 features my January reads. I read 22 books (realised I missed ACOTAR and Harry Potter: A Journey through a History of Magic pit of my picture) and 4 ebooks. I read some amazing books this month, my favourites were Murder on the Orient Express and The Cruel Prince. 📖
#theunreadshelfproject2018 - I read 11 books from my unread shelf this month (books owned prior to January 2018)📖 #reading#bibliophile#bookworm#januarywrapup
I finished Starflight by Melissa Landers this afternoon and I loved it! This was 4.5⭐️ read for me. I'm really enjoying sci-fi at the moment and I'm hoping to read more in February.
Current read is The Cruel Prince, I started this yesterday and I'm about 70 pages in. From what I've read so far I feel like this will be a 5⭐️ read! I've heard such good things about this book! I'm hoping to read up to page 150 today and then finish this tomorrow.
Currently reading The One by Keira Cass and 15 other books 🙈 I really want to try and make a dent in my CR list, I'm hoping to at least get it to 10 by the end of January.
I'm also aiming to read any books that I buy within the month I buy them. I'm then going to try and read 10 books from my owned TBR shelf.
I tried the TBR jar but I'm too much of a mood read and I've only read 2/11. Ill maybe try picking them one at a time rather than all at the beginning of the month or just go for what I feel like reading 😂
I finished A Darker Shade of Magic yesterday, for the first 130 pages I was really quite bored. It really improved after that but it was still a 3.5⭐️ read until that ending. I loved the parallel London's and Kell and Lila 😍so I bumped it up to a 4⭐️. I'm taking a break from the series and I've started The Raven Boys. I've read about 40 pages and it's seeming interesting so far. I'm also reading PJ & the Sea of Monsters, the Lightning Thief took me ages to read but I'm hoping to get this read this week.
