The old me was so afraid of investing in a gym membership, a class pass, or a program because I had never completed a workout in my life!  I'm THAT girl who showed up to the gym on Monday but by Friday the gym was old news. 
I'm that girl who worked out and then ate ice cream because HECK I worked OUT!  I am also that girl who NEVER GOT RESULTS and was ALWAYS frustrated.

But... when I found My at home workouts, it was different!  I not only had a workout program that worked for me, but I could do it at home without having to drag the kids to the gym with me, I FINALLY had a nutrition plan that taught me how to eat healthy, I had a workout calendar that told me what to do each day, I had a coach to check in with and keep me on track, I had other women to keep me accountable and I learned how to properly fuel my body for energy and I WAS LOSING WEIGHT!  I became that GIRL who FINALLY GOT RESULTS!

The most common question I see in the ACL support groups I'm in is "do you think I can ..." .

You can't get someone else's opinion on what you can and can't do. Everyone is different and recovery looks so different for everyone. .

Had I asked this question myself I wouldn't be doing any of the exercises I'm currently doing

What I do is I try one exercise and see how I feel. If it doesn't bother my knee then I do it, and if it does, I don't! That's been the secret to my super fast recovery! I do what I can and listen to my body! You never know unless you try and your body may just surprise you 😘

Looking for a yummy morning recipe to start your day? 
Try these banana oat pancakes

1 Cup unsweetened almond milk
2 large eggs
1 ripe banana
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of sea salt
2 cups dry rolled oats

blend all together and scoop 1/4 cup of mixture to make one pancake

Recipe makes 8 pancakes and 1 pancake is a serving :) serve with some eggs and fruit to give you a balanced breakfast that will give you energy and leave you full and satisfied.

A lot can change in a year! 
A year ago I let my nutrition get the best of me! I was upset with myself for reverting back to old ways! 
You know always having to lose the weight you gain instead of being able to really hone in on toning and becoming the best version of you. 
I never fully achieved my goals because I would get close and then fall off and that yoyo cycle of gaining/losing/gaining was my life for far too long! 
Last summer I had it! I decided that enough was enough! I deserved better and my body deserved more! Why work so hard if you're not going to feed your body right? All that hard work and sweat for nothing because I was eating crap! 
So I committed to a plan in July and I never looked back! Last summer I was in incredible shape and I was able to keep that up all year! 
Then December 4th 2017 I tore my ACL and that put a stop to my workouts temporarily! One week off and then I was able to continue, starting with upper body and adding lower body as my recovery permitted. I spent 3 weeks really building up my leg muscles to prepare for surgery! I knew that would help my post surgery recovery. 
Today I am 20 days post ACL reconstruction with hamstring autograph and I am still in great shape! I wasn't able to workout for a week and I haven't done cardio since December 3rd! What did I do? I focused on my nutrition and I lifted weights and focused on core and upper body! 
I have always had a plan but this time I stuck to it!

In July I made it my mission to conquer 5am workouts and following my meal plan! I've definitely had moments of weakness- mostly with my nutrition, but I've done a much better job at sticking to it and I'm definitely proud of the progress I've made! 
18 days post op right leg ACL reconstruction and I'm finally back to some lower body workouts! First day squatting since surgery and I'm feeling great!! Keeping track of my journey makes it easier for me to appreciate the small improvements I make each and every day 😍
