I'm going to miss this lady! ❤ Had a fab few days with one of my oldest besties @madeleineandersonx
Sad she's heading back to Glasgow tonight. Eloise will be lost without her new favourite person. 😘 #friends#shetland#lerwick#view
Valentine's Flowers ❤
This day is a mixed bag of emotions for us. This time last year Derek was half way through his 12 hour op. We're back in Aberdeen today - I'm shop shop shopping while Derek's at the hospital.
I said I'd buy for myself and get things a bit different...so far I've bought my usual jeans, stripes and clothes for Eloise. 🙄😂 #bouquet
It's always good to get some vitamin sea. 💆🏻 #stninians Although...we were thinking more about the fact we'd just been locked out of the house. 😅 Thankfully we got back in eventually and the temperamental lock has been replaced. #beach
Happy Friday 😁 We've been out watching the waves this morning. It started to snow on our walk home which sounds nice but not so much with a little lady who won't keep her hat and mittens on. 😅🌊 #sea#waves#beach
I can't decide how to redecorate our bedroom. We've just moved the room around but I'm not a huge fan of the wallpaper. Feel free to give me/send me in the direction of some inspiration! Also, if anyone with an eagle eye wants to know where my Annie Sloan "upcycled" bedside tables went...I didn't wax them and wiping clean white chalk paint doesn't go well. 🤷🏻♀️ #oops
Look at her squishy face! ❤ She loves the snow but all those layers make it impossible for her to do anything in it. 😂 The lack of mobility certainly makes my job easier though. #usuallygoes100mph#daughter#love#snow
If you didn't take a picture of your feet in the snow did it really happen? 😂 Snow days are what my super cosy fluffy uggs were made for. 😍 Think I'll need my Fladden suit on next time we head out though. ❄️ #snow#snowday
9 Months old ⭐️ Nobody is ever telling this girl she isn't determined. From the moment she wakes she's a whirlwind and it's just so amazing (and exhausting 😳😝) to see. Eloise has been on the move for over 3 months but this past month she has started crawling faster than ever, climbing over everything and walking along the furniture. Will we have a 9 month old walker on our hands?! 🙈
WHAT is the deal with iPhone storage always being full. Or is it just me?!
Granted, I do have 1 millon photos of Eloise and there may be a few (hundred) blurred photos that I can't bring myself to delete because you can just about make out how tiny she was 🤷🏻♀️ but how do you choose which ones to keep?! I'm off to put all my photos on the laptop then cry about having to delete most of them from my phone. #iphoneproblems#iliketolookback#imnotpayingformorestorage#firstworldproblems#thestruggleisreal
P.S Yes Eloise is wearing the hugest 6-12 month hat you have ever seen. So cosy. 😌
2017 has taught me just how precious life is. It's one of those phrases you hear all of the time but this year especially, for a number of reasons, it has really hit home. We wish all of our family and friends the best of health and happiness in 2018. 😘❤
What a good idea. ☺ For every story shared with the #thankyoumidwife hashtag Pampers will donate £1 to the Royal College of Midwives Trust. ⭐️ We are so grateful for the lovely midwives at GBH. From start to finish they were all wonderful. I didn't have a tough pregnancy but it wasn't plain sailing either.
We can't thank the midwife enough for how quickly she acted when she realised Eloise wasn't coping. We went to maternity for a "quick check up" and I was being prepped for theatre 20 mins later! The midwife, doctor and team in theatre thought we were crazy/hilarious for being so chilled out. Don't get me wrong, watching your baby's heart rate continuously drop is terrifying but we knew we were in safe hands and the situation was fairly under control...and to be honest after what Derek had been through a few weeks before, an emergency c section was a doddle - especially when it's done by your husbands uncle who you trust beyond measure. I was the only Mam in maternity (perks of living in Shetland 💁🏻) so I am very thankful for the first class treatment we both got. (AKA taking Eloise in the middle of the night while she was a nocturnal newborn and letting me sleep 😂) and bringing Eloise into the world in the safest way they could. 👶🏻☺ #baby#newborn#daddyanddaughter#csection *** Reading this back I realised I really sugar coated what happened in that 20 minutes 😂 so in effort to #keepitreal there was a touch of pre-eclampsia, some crazy high blood pressure and an arrangement to be air ambulanced to Aberdeen which was scrapped when they monitored Eloise's heart rate and realised she needed out ASAP)
