The Principles of Naturopathy (The Six Maxims) underpin naturopathic philosophy and naturopathic practice. •
Naturopathy acknowledges the synergistic activity of nature and its ability to repair and regenerate itself given the right environment. •
Naturopathy looks at underlying causes in its approach to healing instead of treating symptoms or superficial levels of the body. The person is treated as a whole, not just the affected body part as all the body’s systems work together to bring balance and harmony to the mind, body and soul. •
Although natural medicine is a powerful therapy, it should be used as a gentle approach to support the body holistically and facilitate the body’s own natural healing ability. •
An important part of the Naturopath’s role is to impart knowledge and education to the patient. This is a lifelong tool that can be used by the patient throughout their life to maintain optimal health and wellbeing. •
Preventative health measures are just as important, if not more important, than curative health measures. A focal point of Naturopathic Medicine is prevention. •
MOULTING LAGOON & BAY OF FIRES 🔥, Tasmanian East Coast •
Sunsets, sunrises, beaches, lagoons, campfires, wildlife, bike rides, bush walks, fresh air and toasted marshmallows. What more could you want?!
🚵🏻 THE BLUE TIER & DERBY, Tasmania 🚵♀️
The mountain bike capital of Tasmania- 20km MTB ride with the kids- and that was just one trail we did! Kids loved it, adults loved it, over boulders & trees, around huge berms, through pebble stone rivers, in the middle of beautiful rainforest, bush and mountains. Lunching in the rainforest, cooling off in the rivers and discovering a new hobby that we all LOVE!! Not to mention our own private shuttle service in the shape of two lovely humans ☺️
An unexpected, unplanned highlight of our Tassie trip 💚 such an incredible experience- and we have the scars to prove it don’t we Reef?!!
🌿⚖️ Thinking about a DETOX after the silly season? Detox programs need to be done properly or you are at risk of releasing harmful toxins back into the bloodstream that can then be reabsorbed by the body. •
Before detoxing, it’s important to ensure your liver and kidneys are being supported with the right nutrients. The liver is responsible for detoxifying toxins via the digestive system with elimination via the bowels while the kidneys are responsible for detoxifying toxins via the renal system with elimination via the bladder. •
Specific nutrients contained in particular foods or supplements can ensure your liver and kidney health are functioning properly prior to and during any detoxification process. •
Optimal detoxification should be a way of life, not just a short phase undertaken once or twice a year. Poor detoxification processes can contribute to fatigue, headaches, insomnia, weight gain, skin problems, mood disorders, joint pain and many other health problems. •
If you are wanting to ensure your detoxification processes are functioning at their optimum or for a tailored detoxification program, feel free to book an appointment on 8406 0679 or check out www.nbip.com.au •

Tonight, after a bike ride, spa, Mexican feast, fancy dress up session, some dancing and a quick dash to Avalon to get our favourite ice cream, we sat down with the kids to set our goals for 2018 and voice our intentions. We wrote them down so we can look at them, encourage each other, be held accountable and work towards them. Loved hearing about the things they want to achieve this year and talk about how we’re going to reach those goals 🙏🏼✨🔮
WINEGLASS BAY, Freycinet National Park... .
After hiking down to Wineglass Bay on a picture perfect day, we arrived to blue bottles and jellyfish.. a walk further along the beach and we stumbled along this protected paradise were we could all swim. Absolutely stunning 💚
These words ring so true to me. Some things in life just don’t make sense sometimes. I count my blessings EVERY DAY for the people around me that show me love, provide emotional support and hold me tight when I don’t feel strong. For that I have endless gratitude 🙏🏼
