Hey chums, thank you so much to all of you who are still kicking about! I took a break from #keto and #fitness as I had a very stressful time and felt weak and depressed. I'm aware that that is the exact time when I should be paying more attention to my #workoutroutine and #eating, but it just wasn't happening: I was miserable, I felt cold, and I lost muscle mass and gained fat. I decided to give my body the opportunity to reset. Will jump on the scales later. I'm feeling a bit better and ready to tackle #lowcarb and mild #ketosis again. Here's my adjusted #macros and #caloriegoals - I upped my #intake slightly as I was losing weight quite rapidly. This way, my progress will be more sustainable.

Weighing myself at the gym today - despite having lost a kilo I gained a kilo of fat - really kicked my ass and shook me up again. It was the #fitnessmotivation I needed! Not-so-keto progress. I've had a bunch of #cheatdays, and was largely out of #ketosis for the last 10 days. I still ate somewhat in a #caloriedeficit. Now, these results (give or take the inaccuracy of the #bodyfatpercentage measurement) are stunning: I still lost a kilo in weight, but gained almost a whole kilo in fat, showing that the #weightloss must be largely due to #waterloss (good) and/or #muscleloss (bad). This gives me a motivation to try hard to be on #strictketo for the next week and see how that alters my results.
