Happy first day of spring! 🌸💜🐣 I had these pastel M&Ms, and figured they'd be perfect for cookies. Does anyone else buy a bag of M&Ms for every holiday? Also, if you do, what do you make with them? #happyspring#cookies#treatyoself
I had this avocado toast the other day and it was actually the first time I've ever had avocado toast 😶 I drizzled some maple syrup over it and it was delish! It's probably going to be a little while before I get to have it again considering I have decided to go on a POTATO DIET 😲
Now I know what most of you are thinking, another fad diet to lose weight. Well I'm actually not going to be doing it to lose weight, believe it or not.
@marinebuton sent me a podcast a couple of weeks ago where Andrew Taylor aka @spudfit aka The Potato Guy, was being interviewed. And let me tell you that this guy spoke to my soul. I realized right then and there that I was exactly like this dude emotionally. All his trials and errors, all his eating habits, I felt like it was me talking, except with a man's voice. I'm not going to give all the details but if you guys want to listen, look up rich roll's podcast. Not a lot of people will know that I have a food addiction problem or binge eating problem or whatever emotional eating disorder you wanna call it. No one could probably guess this anyway, it's not like I stuff my face in front of anyone. And through this podcast, I learned that my habits could be overcome and that I'm not alone in this situation. I have high blood pressure and his story has inspired me on a different level. I don't want to be on meds. I've tried all kinds of diets and personal trainers and eating in moderation (just like Andrew) and nothing would stick. So this potato diet could help me strip away all those things that would keep me coming back to food in those moments where I feel like it'll appease me.
The reason I'm sharing this with you is for accountability and some support. It's probably not going to be easy but I'd like you to follow this journey, just like you've followed me up to now. I'm hoping that this is going to be a game changer and that food won't have power over me like it used to.
