⚡️If you can learn to develop the right mindset, you can be happy now, without changing anything else. You don’t need to wait until you’ve changed everything and made your life perfect before you’re happy — you have everything you need to be happy right now.
⚡️The mindset of waiting for happiness is a never-ending cycle. True happiness is when we search and find within. Sitting with what we have, who we are at our core at that moment.
“Yoga” means to yoke, unite. 🙏🏻 To me, it truly means to connect with the greater stream of life and energy. Although back home, asana (yoga poses) and meditation practice among the busy-ness of each day provides the most immediate “fix” for me to find that connection - travel abroad and tuning into the rhythm of a different culture is another beautiful way to Yoga. I found a wonderful studio here in Hoi An - @nomadyogahoian where I was able to get an amazing massage 💆🏻♀️post invigorating Hatha class🧘🏻♀️ to work out some travel-kinks. I was inspired to come to humble warrior pose here - as that is what best evokes my visit to Vietnam so far. It cultivates humility and surrender - and that is exactly what one needs here to enjoy the energy of its people and life. Give in, relax, enjoy, and connect. ❤️ .
I’m very excited to have this one (it’s @kathypeterson78 in case you can’t tell 🙃) alongside me offering our five-month Yoga Immersion, starting tomorrow! I love that when Kathy saw ‘Eve’ written on the wall she had to stop and do this!! #headstand

Know that you are always supported-to find that balance. To find yourself. In the dhamma talk during my meditation, SN Goenka shares that once you walk the path of dhamma, your path becomes clear and at each step you are supported.
So walk that path. Sometimes the path to take is the easiest road to walk on.
We are super excited to announce a very special #JacknifePresents with Angel Deradoorian, this Friday February 23, 9pm @HeartbeatHouse, $10 (pre-register at @jacknife_vinyl_feed ) • ⠀
Focusing on the Chakras:⠀
This is an interactive music-oriented workshop focusing on the Chakra energy points in the human body. We will learn about the meanings and affirmations of each chakra, their relationships to the planets (Vedic astrology), and the musical tone they embody. Through bringing our awareness to these points in the body, we can begin to identify blockages within and work toward releasing them. This is ultimately an exercise in bringing awareness to our suppression and repression as well as to build confidence from the inside out. We will delve into this using the modalities of music, singing, and physical movement.⠀
#AngelDeradoorian has been a student of music and active musician for 25 years. She has been involved in many notable musical projects, some include: #DirtyProjectors , #AveyTare , collaborations with #FlyingLotus , #StephenOMalley of #SunnO ))), and many other artists. Deradoorian has an interest and active practice in Vedic Astrology, is a self-educator in philosophy, spirituality, mysticism, and esotericism. She is excited to share some of her knowledge in a musical context, with the highest aspiration toward healing and peace. ( #📷 @jacknifepresents )
Chakra Evolutions with David Goulet.⠀
23-25 FEB | Friday 6-9pm | Sat & Sun 8am-5pm.⠀
This workshop is to present a bridge between the Chakra system of Yoga and the recent discoveries in Quantum physics. The sages of ancient times in deep states of meditation noticed that as energy travels through time it forms geometric patterns according to the frequency of its vibration.⠀
These observations led to the creation of Yantra Yoga: a system of chakra analysis providing a ‘Dharmic calendar’ which based on precise mathematical equations, calculates the dominant forces (chakras) we have access to at any given point in time.⠀
Knowing how these energies flow through us throughout our life allows us to ‘plug in’ to the unified harmonic grid, or cosmic intelligence that supports and guides the unfolding of nature, the universe and our own destiny as spiritual beings.⠀
This workshop gives students an understanding of the science behind the energy world of the chakras, while providing the tools to work with those energies at all levels of our life and being.⠀
Day 8: Virabhadrasana I Variation - Parivrtta Parsvakonasana Variation (Crescent Lunge - Low Lunge Twist)
Take a break! Can you balance moving toward your goal while allowing time for short, productive breaks? “Productive” because sometimes simply stepping away from one project and into something that fulfills your soul (like, oh I don’t know, yoga...or any hobby you take pleasure in) can bring forth answers to how to move forward with the initial project. * Description *
Start by standing in Tadasana (Day 1). Ground through your feet, engage your core, and step your left foot way back, like 3-4 feet back. Land on the ball of that back foot, with your heel lifted on top of your toes. Press back through the inner heel to extend your inner leg as long as your outer. Bend your right knee until the knee stacks over the ankle. Squeeze your outer hips and inner thighs toward one another so as to square your hips and establish stability. Inhale to lift your arms up high, reaching all the way from your side ribs (meaning, try to avoid hunching your shoulders). Exhale to both bend your back knee and pull your tailbone toward the earth, but ALSO to twist your chest to the right. Keep the hips pointing forward - don’t let them twist with you even though they’ll want to! Inhale to lift back into Crescent Lunge with your back leg as straight as feels reasonable and your chest facing forward. Try this 3-5 times. Be careful with your knee alignment, keeping the center of the knee in line with the center of the ankle on both sides, so you don’t twist your knee in the process of this challenging vinyasa. Switch sides!
