5 minutes in today, and I knew that this was paying off.
With the kids home from school with winter break, cabin fever happening, the impulse to clean absolutely everything in my house....This “detox” was literally what I needed. For my body to MOVE and for my mind to CALM DOWN!
I remember how I always used to find the easy way, the quickest way, the least cheapest way to get ahead in my life only to look back & realize none of that worked because I didn’t have the support from my ladies ( you know who you see !! )
The moment I showed up, invested my soul into becoming a better woman/mom/human & pushed through the sucky part.... you know that part when you would sooner lay on the couch and Netflix all day with cookies, shit got real in my life & in my results🤞🏻 “Noone will return because it is easy - but you will return b/c it works!

There were two questions that I was asked which encouraged me to switch to a plant based diet/ vegan lifestyle. 1. Is a meal really worth a life?
2. Why is it okay to eat one animal and not another?
After I began researching, watching documentaries, and really giving it thought I could no longer justify eating an animal, or something that came from one.
My kids and my husband still eat an omnivorous diet (except when I cook, which is most of the time), so please don’t think I’m judging or criticizing anyone for doing things differently than me. I do want to encourage those of you who have thought about becoming plant based to give it a try. Even if just one day a week. I appreciate the sentiment, but find the delivery tactless and clearly lacking research. If you’ve done a burpee, a weighted lunge, taken a spin class, done an inversion in yoga, etc. you know that loose fitting clothing during most workouts is not only less comfortable, it’s dangerous!
On top of that, regardless of whether you workout a ton or not, form is SO SO SO important to preventing injury and making progress. Something you will not properly evaluate in sweats.
I will admit that I do pick my athliesure based on certain aesthetic qualities. But, first and foremost, it is about function. Does good athliesure give me extra confidence in a workout? You bet your ass it does. And I don’t think that my choice to wear it is “bad for women”.
