Nothing fancy just some feel good stretching. I’ve been told that your least favorite pose is the one you probably need to spend the most time in. Mine is definitely 🐬I’m becoming more comfortable pushing myself to do things that make me uncomfortable #practice#fridayflow#stretch#workinprogress
I’m on the fifth day of my #42daypromise and so far so good! 💪🏼 I’m really enjoying my little flows. It’s not anything fancy but lately, after such a long break from yoga, my body really craves some gentle flows, lot of breathing and gentle transitions. So I’m just giving it what it wants 🙌🏻
Oh and yes, I would really like to get back into yoga challenges, haven’t done any in a year. So if you have any suggestions - tag me, send it to me, anything. I would be really thankful 🤗
Balance is key. In everything you do.
Dance all night long and practice yoga the next day.
Drink wine but don’t forget your green juice.
Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and kale salad when your body needs it.
Wear high heels on Saturday and walk barefoot on Sunday.
Go shopping at the mall and then sit down and meditate in your bedroom.
Live high and low.
Move and stay still.
Embrace all sides of who you are and live your authentic truth!
Be brave and bold and spontaneous and loud and let that complement your abilities to find silence and patience and modesty and peace.
Aim for balance.
Make your own rules and don’t let anybody tell you how to live according to theirs.
Today’s pose is standing/balance. Extended hand to toe seemed appropriate as I used to not be able to straighten my leg and would fall over. Cheers to progress 🤗... and doing yoga in SLIPPERS
Lucky is sneaking some licks. Does anyone else have a “licky” dog 🐶
Day 2. Standing/Balancing
Day 3. Core strengthener
Day 4. Arm balance
Day 5. Hip opener
Day 6. Backbend
Day 7. Yogis choice •
It was such a treat to spend my morning with this amazing bride getting married tomorrow. We were blessed with a nice breeze, an early dolphin showing, a light rain to cleanse away the worry and stress and a clearing of the clouds just as we went into savasana. And to top it all off the sweetest little yoginis to practice with us💚 #bridesloveyoga
As a child my dream was always to become a dancer and perform at big stages.💃
I loved dancing. And still do.
I stared dancing from a very young age, trying ballet, hiphop, jazz, salsa, bachata...
But you know, once you grow up, social pressure and conditioning kind of dims your light into becoming another member of this flock we call society.
Through dancing is how I gained my flexibility, so i was quite flexible when i started yoga. And some parts of my body are hyper flexible, which is not a good thing at all and can lead to injury while practicing.
So I learned how to navigate the good and the bad side of flexibility, and how to combine it with more core, arms, and leg strength.
Just like in life, balance the good and the bad, right?
So in yoga you do not need flexibility, it is only one of the tools you use throughout the practice.
What you need most is yourself. To show up. And practice. Regularly and consistently. Untill it is well integrated into your mind, body and soul.
So just show up. And do not make up excuses for your body, because it might actually listen to you and believe the shit you tell it.
Keep on showing up.

Going through this whole process of trying to get pregnant, becoming a mother, nursing, the challenges of nursing and now trying to wean made me realize how much I placed expectations of how I thought all of those events in my life were going to be and how different they actually were.
I don’t think I’ve shared my faith as much on here because of fear, but I honestly am not ashamed, but God really broke me today. He pointed out how I have relied on other people and even social media to try and fix or figure out my challenges in this whole motherhood journey. ..
I almost always call my mother to vent or ask questions, if I don’t get a hold of her I call my sister or I ask my followers here on social media. Once I have what I want to hear, I try and resolve it. I don’t even think about asking the one person who answered my prayers in the first place and has blessed me with so much in this whole experience.
He gently spoke that to me today and let me just weep on his lap (a.k.a -on my knees). Sometimes there is nothing else you CAN do in tough situations but go to his lap and cry. Sometimes He allows all your resources to be tapped out so that you stop and remember that He’s been here all along, waiting to help, but you kept ignoring Him. ...
Remembering to come to Him first can be hard when we are scared or frustrated or in pain, but that’s all He wants, is to be our first and only option.

This is the beginning of my favorite time of the year-summer! The birds are singing, the trees are blooming, and the sun is shining! I figured I’d share with y’all the beginning of every one of my yoga practices... the vinyasa or sun salutation. I used to not enjoy it because it hurt my shoulders, and then I had a yoga instructor tell me I needed to put my weight on my fingers and push my chest down, and everything clicked! Now this is my favorite morning stretch to start to loosen up my whole body. What’s your favorite yoga flow?
