250kg deadlift from @britishpowerlifting comp today. Wanted to leave a bit in the tank today as main goal was just to qualify for British Championship's in May. Struggled to get warmed up properly for squats, so left it at 237.5kg, and got 135kg bench, so easy to qualify on deadlifts by this point . Had my first water cut down to the u100kg category with this one, thanks to @mstsystems for the help with it. Wasn't the best experience sat outside weigh ins on Saturday though turning my car in to a makeshift sauna to drop half a kg in an hour 😂
Pedals have those toe cages and clips for a reason. The rotation in your legs isn't just about how hard you can push through the balls of your feet, but also the power you can exert as you bring each foot back up and around. "If you focus on eliminating the pause at the bottom of your pedal stroke and pull your knees up (you need proper gear for this!) and out to complete your rotation, you'll find more power as well as a 360 leg and glute workout. Spinning is more than go fast go slow; and go up and sit down. If you want to make the most of your workout train your mind to not just show up and go through the motions. Focus‼️
Today I wasn't able to get my workout in from home. I could have simply thrown in the towel BUT I DIDN'T. Instead I found a local gym.
Although I was out of my comfort zone and noticed people looking/staring at me, I didn't care. I was there for self health and they are too. There should be no judgement, but when I busted out my sliders and elastic bands I felt the stares.
It was awesome once I completed the workout. This guy came up to me and asked, "What workout are you doing?". I told him and also said, "I get to workout with my own personal trainer anywhere, all I have to do is press play." We continued to talk and he told me, "It's nice seeing guys like you that come in and give it your all and you don't stop. There are too many people that do a set of reps and sit for 10 minutes. They waste their time and mine. I just want to get my workout in." How cool is that? A completely stranger noticed what I was doing and to give me a complement... that is AWESOME.

I have grown accustomed to a great divide between what people perceive and what I know to be real. Nobody has it all figured out. I have watched @tobibakre give all the tasks 💯 Tobi like any other person has and will face challenges in life. I have no doubt that he will be able to face those challenges and conquer (just like he conquered them dumbbells 💪🏽 )He has shown us that he deserves to win this. I have been slacking lately when it comes to running and it is starting to become a real struggle so wednesdays & saturdays have become my designated running days!! I got to see my wonderful fam again this weekend and my pup 🐶 so yesterday I started my morning with a walk with my pup and then went on a run! I made a playlist with 8 songs (28 minutes) and just ran until it was over! this is my way of forcing myself to run for more than 10 minutes 😂
