Who needs a dopey gallbladder anyways? Verdict is in, I’ll be talking to a surgeon next week and then more than likely Gary the Gallbladder is coming out. I’m officially planning my SUPER clean eating regiment for leading up to this surgery and after.
To make sure I'm not a hypochondriac, I did a 5 minute treadmill jog today. Time will tell whether this run was wise or not. 😎
It takes a lot of patience & effort to listen to and figure out your own body. Getting back to training after an injury is definitely the hardest part for me! Do you agree?
Sometimes it's necessary to take a step back to see how far you've come✨
🔹The picture on the left is the Dallas Rock n Roll Half-Marathon last year. I was still working to perfect my training and race nutrition (it has taken me quite a while), but as an aspiring sports dietitian, I wasn't going to stop until I perfected it. I wasn't at goal race weight, struggled hard core through that race (the course is hell), and was feeling discouraged by lack of improvement. 🔸The picture on the right is the Tour Des Fleurs Half-Marathon in Fall of last year. I finally figured out the perfect carb amount for me during both training and race day after hours of experimenting, calculating, trial and error. ➡️TODAY: I'm at perfect race weight, feel strong and confident in my performance abilities, and have stuck to a consistent pre- and during race nutrition plan! I have implemented everything I've learned in my undergrad nutrition and current graduate nutrition program and it continues to remind me why I freaking love what I do!! 🤗 I'll be revealing my game plan tomorrow for Dallas Rock n Roll Half on Sunday, but I plan to use it as a training run to redeem myself after last year. 💕Never forget to give yourself a pat on the pack every once in a while. I know it's hard to step back in this fast-paced life we live, but it's necessary!! Happy almost race weekend, beauties!! Remember to love yourself today and everyday and realize that you're doing the best you can!! 🙏🏻🏃🏻♀️💪🏻

When it comes to health & fitness, we talk about the inches lost on our waists, the number on the scale, and how many reps we can do per set. But what about the mental change?
I would never dream about wearing any kind of dress that clung to my body - bodycon and tight-fitting dresses were a definite 'no' from me. I've been conscious about my stomach area for as long as I can remember, and I was worried others would snigger behind my back as the girl who ate too many pies. My dress size has hardly changed, but my perception of myself has. I’m not usually one for a selfie, but I had to capture this moment forever. 💕Also can you believe this dress was only £2 in the sale?! #bodyconfidence#selfesteem
