Progress in life starts with one step and a leap of faith. Which doesn’t mean there won’t be anxiety along the way. Whether you are ditching the corporate world for your passion job or putting yourself out there to find love again in midlife, you are being courageous.
Here’s some tips for staying strong, calm, motivated, and ready for what unfolds 😀
Be kind to yourself on the journey. Don’t compare yourself, your progress or your money to others.
Use self care, such as meditation and exercise to overcome anxiety and to stay positively focused.
Remember how far you have come already on your unique journey to this point. Taking a leap of faith is unconventional - most people choose to stay safe, even in a job or life that no longer excites them. You are special already!
Dream of where you want to be but stay flexible too, have a second path in mind that you may need to take to reach the summit. And let the journey unfold, you may end up in a slightly different place but one that’s even better for you than you had contemplated.
Wasn’t able to attend the #marchforourlives , but I instead attended the #endomarch of NY since the cause is very near and dear to my heart. Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent chronic disease that can cause debilitating pain, organ failure, infertility, thyroid problems, autoimmune symptoms, bowel or bladder dysfunction, anxiety, depression, and the list goes on and on. I met other women like me today who have had organs excised, resected or removed entirely, some from their lungs, diaphragm, or bowel like me. It’s not uncommon for women to have double digit surgeries, but thankfully so far I’ve just had the one biggie with another second surgery possibly in the foreseeable future. 1 in 10 women have Endometriosis, and it takes an average of 6-10 years to receive an accurate diagnosis since laparoscopic surgery is the only way to definitely diagnose it. In my case it took a whopping 28 years to diagnose, and I was told pain with my cycle was normal, that I had IBS (bullshit diagnosis btw), and I was just prescribed pain meds. Pain is not normal, especially when it causes you to vomit and faint or miss school or work from it. There is no cure for Endometriosis, but there are ways to manage it through a multidisciplinary approach. Hopefully one day soon there will be a a way to prevent or cure this systemic disease, so women and daughters don’t have to suffer through surgeries or hormonal treatments. So, today I proudly wore yellow instead of orange, but my spirit was with both marches. #endomarch2018#endometriosis#endometriosisawarenessmonth#1in10#endosisters#endowarrior#speakendo#invisibleillness#chronicpain#womenarethefuture#womenshistorymonth#womenshealth#pelvicpain#endo#endometriosisawareness

I am so excited to share Composed Nutrition! It’s my mission to provide a clear path to body balance. ⚖️✨
It's no shocker that the foods we're eating, the toxic products we're using, the lack of sleep we're getting, and the bandaids we're using to deal with it all are all adding up leaving us with hormonal imbalances, inflammation, digestive issues, and no energy or motivation to do anything about it. -
Plus so much of the health information out there is confusing AF so why not just keeping doing what we're doing? -
Because we deserve better. Y O U deserve better. 🖤
Composed Nutrition is the culmination of my nutrition knowledge, quest for natural home + skincare products, evolving spiritual practices, alignment with my truth, and passion to share with others. ✨
Why Composed Nutrition? Our bodies are the composition of the foods we eat, thoughts we think, community we choose, and environment we surround ourselves with.
As the personal guinea pig for all the practices I share, I can tell you there is a better way – a way to find peace + balance amidst the stress and craziness. 🧘🏻♀️
I use a functional + integrative approach to nutrition and health, which means looking for the root causes of imbalances versus labeling and treating symptoms.
Here you’ll find: my favorite recipes 🥑, nutrition basics to understand the body 🤸🏻♀️, the connection btwn food + mood 🌻, my favorite natural makeup + skincare products 💄, lifestyle + wellness insights 🌱, travel tips ✈️, spiritual practices that keep me sane 🧘🏻♀️, and my story with sobriety 🖤.

You have a responsibility not to remain silent.
Girls and women speaking up for themselves and for those around them is the strongest force we have to save the world! 💕 #marchforourlives#supportyoursisters
Often times I look at my pup as a reminder to rest unapologetically. I preach this to the women in my hormone membership program, Sexy Lady Balls all the time and why: because if u don’t your body will make you. You periods will be a nightmare, anxiety levels can rise and you may even develop ovarian cysts (think of them as the body creating speed bumps to slow you the F down). .
So are you giving yourself permission to rest? Are you asking for help? Setting boundaries? Lifestyle choices are often more important in healing than anything else. Why: because it dictates how you SHOW UP in the world in terms of how you eat and even how much you drink. If you aren’t sleeping and resting, your ability to cope let alone stay on ANY plan will be nil! .
So take some advice from my dog Bodhi and rest!
PS - And if u want more details about Sexy Lady Balls and how to finally balance your hormones, check out the link in my bio @sexyfoodtherapy. It is by far the BEST, most comprehensive membership of its kind on the interwebs.
PPS - I cut his hair, not bad eh?

Subcut & Block E3 - What do they do & How do I use them?
We understand that these two products can be slightly confusing so here are some brief breakdowns on our Subcut and Block E3: - Subcut: Targets stubborn subcutaneous fat on the body. This is usually fat that is stored in pockets on the body and no matter what you do will not budge. The area is usually quite cold when you touch it as well (lack of blood flow to the area). Subcut works on getting in and breaking down these areas, it releases the fat for your body to then burn off so YES you still need to exercise and eat well for it to work. We have had people see results with no exercise however we recommend using it along with a training regime for optimal results. 👌🏼 - Block E3: So unfortunately sometimes we can get stubborn excess estrogen that makes a nice comfy home inside of our fat cells. This estrogen then prevents this fat cell from breaking down and exiting the body. The Block E3 is designed to target this stubborn estrogen by eliminating it so your fat cells can break down and exit your body. Once again exercise and a well balanced diet is required for the fat to leave the body. 😉
So how the hell do I use them??
- Subcut: We recommend using prior to training so just apply to your stubborn areas then and also after showering. You can use it up to 3 times a day. - Block E3: The Block E3 works best when it is applied at night, before bed after your evening shower. We recommend applying the Block E3 first then wait a moment and apply the Subcut. Some people mix both together and apply and find that works well however everyone's pores are different so we recommend trying one after the other first and see how you go from there. - ATP FB post
Blueberry- ginger switchel! This has been my drink of choice lately — in addition to water and coffee, of course. 💦 ☕️ I enjoy this as a mid-day pick-me-up or after a hot yoga class. It’s so tasty and refreshing! What is in this switchel you ask? Well, I make it with ginger, apple cider vinegar, frozen blueberries, and soda water! 😋 It kind of reminds me of a kombucha with its tangy taste and fizzy texture. I love the ginger in this drink too. Not only do I love the slightly sweet, tangy taste of ginger, but I find it super helpful for when I’m feeling any sort of pain in my body (especially, pain associated with my period). I am always looking for yummy was to incorporate ginger into my daily routine and this one I love 💗. I just uploaded the switchel recipe on my blog, check it out! Rainy days and pancakes go so perfectly together 🌧🥞 These are my Blueberry Banana Chai Tea Pancakes - they’re grain free, vegan friendly, extra fluffy, and filled with flavour and warming spices. Perfect to enjoy while curled up in your pjs with a cup of coffee or tea 💜
To make, blend together:
3/4 cup almond flour
1/2 cup arrowroot starch
5 heaping tbsp coconut flour
3/4 cup almond milk
2 eggs (or flax eggs)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 a medium sized banana
1-2 tbsp loose leaf chai tea
Cook with coconut oil in a frying pan on medium heat for 2-3 mins on each side - when you flip them, make sure you flatten slightly with a spatula, as they can get a little puffy otherwise. This recipe yielded 8 medium sized pancakes for me (I used one ladle scoop for each pancake). Topped with coconut yogurt, warmed blueberries, bee pollen, coconut flakes, some more chai tea flakes, and @eatfatso hybrid peanut butter 😍 I also played around with a new photo style for this shot - what do you guys think??
It’s windy and it’s wet but the garden is getting a long overdue soaking. This week I wandered into the gorgeous @that_little_shop and found the most gorgeous pair of @mollinishoes boots. Sadly Zoe had sold out of my size but within minutes she had another fabulous small business @mintboutique who stocked the boots in my size. Driving home I thought how amazing are Local small businesses. I rang told them how I found them and sure enough I now possess my boots. I must think I am a centipede. So my message is about supporting your competition. It’s a win win - I will always support Zoe but through her kindness I found a new small treasure, a new business to follow on insta. Retail is so hard at the moment with a billion on line stores and the ability to buy overseas but the fun of trying things on and engaging face to face with small businesses will be all but over if we don’t think twice before we buy. Take the time to like your competitors I do for they make bath salts and people buy them but hopefully one day they may try mine. I follow a lot of artists and I read comments posted by other artists and it seems such a positive space. I encourage retailers and wholesalers to do the same. The world is big enough for us all. #smallbusiness#local#shopping#retail#natural#pure#goodforyou#morningtonpeninsula#womenshealth#essentialoils#salt#flowers#relax#friends#love#share#supportlocal#mygarden#musthave#gift#bath#artists
I feel so blessed reading these sweet words from my patient.
After working in high tech for 10 years, I consciously made a decision to follow my heart and devote my life to help others heal. This path is not a job to me.
It’s not about the money or status. It’s a calling and privilege and I have gained so much from my patients.
From deep connections that have evolved to kindred friendships, sharing knowledge, shedding tears and lots of laughter, I feel I get more out of my relationships with my patients than they do from me.
This medicine is all about energy. And the exchange is beyond the depths of the physical plane. 🙏🌸💖🙏#endlessgratitude
Earlier this week I was told a full HYSTERECTOMY was on the table to "cure" my Endo. So I went acupuncture and I shared this info with @jujuhealingarts and we've made a plan that does not involve invasive surgery unless absolutely necessary--insert second Western medical doctor opinion here--
We aren't taking this as law. We are fighting and I am so thankful to have such an incredible practitioner in my life because she cares about me, my body, and my agency. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ I'm so glad you're in my life FOR SO MANY REASONS.
Oh my, smoothie satisfaction!
I used to think adding veg to smoothies was bizarre. They need to be sweet and fresh I thought. Well preaching from the converted don’t doubt it till you try it! This glorious purple smoothie is full of protein, healthy fats, carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits to support your body. All my veggies were steamed then frozen making it easier for my body to digest. Also only organic ingredients removing any nasty endocrine blocking pesticides. This smoothie has 3/4 cup pumpkin, 1/2 cup cauliflower, 1/2 of zucchini and a cup of fresh baby spinach. Also included is 20g of collagen, 1 tablespoon of almond butter, 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil, 1 cup of frozen blueberries, 1 pitted date, 1.5 cups filtered water, 1/2 teaspoon of reishi and 1/2 tablespoon of lions mane. So satisfying, sweet, creamy and filling👌
