Selsdon Half marathon 🏃🏻♀️🏅
My last long run before taper and it was the hilliest course I’ve ever experienced. It was one massive struggle and the first race I genuinely thought I might not finish. I passed by my house at Mile 8 and it took everything I had not to call it quits. I was supposed to do another 7 miles once I finished the race to take me to 20 miles. Having had a cold/cough all week I just didn’t have it in me. Trying to stay positive, my longest long run might not have been the distance I was hoping for but on the other hand I’ve survived a marathon training cycle uninjured. 💙👟 Wearing my @asicseurope Gel Nimbus 20 Paris edition trainers from @sportsshoes #imoveme#nofunstandingstill#marathontraining#parismarathon#londonmarathon
I chose to go out on the #Inflite first!
The bike is wonderful, reassuring and robust! The breaking is reliable and smooth. I've missed the satisfying clunk of mechanical ultegra gear changes, the gearing far better than the Eastway at both the high and low ends and the gaps weren't noticeable at all, I really liked the ratios!
It's got no mudguards yet (and I needed them today!) due to @wigglecycling letting me down (again), they managed to deliver the mudguards but there were no fixings or stays in the box (you almost have to laugh (nobody say LBS lol))!!!
A promising first ride.. More to come.. #StepThroughThatDoor
In one way its nice to not have a schedule and planed races to be a slave under so when you get a kindergarten-cold you can give the body a day extra to heal up. But sometimes you just get sick of waiting. Hoodie on, 2 full bottles of water and sweat that shit out. Zero effort, 100% sweat fest 😅💦 #skamdensomgersig
