Tried something 100% BRAND NEW (to me) today. #powerclean
My human is a HS football coach, so we always lift in their weight-room on Saturday’s. I’ve been wanting to try this for so long, but I’ve been so scared. Lifting is really weird for me as I was a gymnast all through grade school...weights weren’t much of a priority. But I have fallen in love in the past year. I’d say my third try was my best. Please give me any suggestions or tips, but be kind in your comments as I am only a beginner 🤗🤗
😘😘 #ski#famille#familly#toussuire
Today is a great day. It's Saturday, and what I've determined will be "weigh-in" day from now on. I weighed myself and I'm 161.8! That's 1.2 pounds down for the week 🙌
On that note, I wanted to introduce my morning routine...sort of. The delicious golden milk latte is more of a treat that I only make on occasion, but those supplements are every day for me. I was never a fan of supplements, but I've realized that sometimes we need the assistance when our bodies are crying out for it. There's no "magic bullet" within this stack. I take singular supplements rather than complexes (with the exception of ZMA) because I only want to give my body exactly what it needs. So here's the list of what I take:
400 mg of Selenium
ZMA (7mg B6, 300mg magnesium, 20mg zinc, 33mg theanine)
2500 mcg Methyl B12
25mg DHEA (as directed by my physician)
475 mg Ashwagandha
Fish oil + 2000 IU of D3
5 mcg Liothyronine (T3 prescribed by physician)
137 mcg Levothyroxine (prescribed) - last two not shown.
Everything I take is guided by my doctor, so I do not recommend anything to anyone, as I am not a doctor. This is just a glimpse of what the start of my day is like.
Some days are easier than others, there has been days when I don’t feel like doing anything but laying in bed all day and there are days when I’m ready to put my running shoes on and go! This journey is not easy. It comes with frustrations, guilt, road blocks and soreness but also along the way, you can gain strength, confidence, happiness and a more positive attitude. Everyday that passes I learn something new and everyday that passes I am thankful that I decided to take on this journey and I am BEYOND thankful that I can inspire so many people around the world THAT I DONT EVEN KNOW PERSONALLY and everyday I wake up feeling blessed to know that you all are rooting for me constantly even on my bad days! Im rambling away but i just wanted to put that out there that all your comments and dms mean sosososo much to me, I’m sorry I can’t respond to everyone! I try to respond as much as I can but ya girl works and can’t have her phone all the time! Anyway, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH AND HAPPY SATURDAY 💜💜💜 #weightlossmotivation#motivation#weightloss#weighttraining#weightlossgoals#weightlossjourney#weightlossmotivation#weightlossjourney#weightlosstransformation#transformation

How Stress Impacts Fat Loss
It’s a fact of life that stress is pretty much inevitable. Whether it’s work demands, financial problems, family drama, or even just trying to get everything done in a day, we are bound to experience stress in some form. While some forms of stress can be positive, when chronic or left unmanaged, it can take a negative toll on not only your overall health but also on your ability to lose weight.
If you feel like you’ve got everything dialed in but are still struggling to see results from your efforts, get honest with yourself about how you’re handling the stress in your life.
Yes fat loss is largely a matter of calories in vs. calories out, but you can’t discount the role your hormones play in fat loss. Specifically cortisol, which is produced when we are under stress. Excess cortisol can decrease muscle mass and increase body fat, especially in the belly.
Stress often leads to anxiety and worry. Being unable to shut your brain off can keep you up at night and disrupt sleep. Lack of sleep will keeps cortisol levels elevated, impacts decision making, messes up hunger hormones, and increases appetite and cravings.
If you turn to food to relieve your stress, especially when you’re not physically hungry, you run the risk of taking in too many calories overall, which will affect fat loss.
Feeling overwhelmed can decrease motivation and lead to feeling of extreme fatigue. It’s easy to use this as an excuse to skip the gym in favor os crashing on the couch.
I realize that some people lose their appetite when stressed, but for many, it causes them to eat more and have increased cravings for higher calorie foods (thanks, cortisol). #
Stress impacts your body’s ability to recover from hard workouts. You might be able to get by for a while, but eventually it will catch up with you, in which case your performance in the gym will suffer. #stress#healthylifestyle#fatloss#fitwomen#fitmom#sleep#fatlossjourney#weightloss#fitness#health#fit#diet#feelgood
🚫You CANNOT spot reduce where you lose fat. ❗️
•I often hear people saying they want to "tone" their legs and lose fat in certain areas. ☝🏽When you lose fat, it is lost THROUGHOUT your body, not just in one spot. 🙆🏻♀️
•I was always very happy with my legs, I didn't want them smaller, but as I lost weight, I lost fat/size on my legs, not only where I wanted it. 🤷🏻♀️🧐
•HOWEVER, you CAN control where you gain muscle💪🏼. Training the muscles of a certain area of your body burns calories and can result in muscle growth, both of which certainly can aid in fat loss, but it doesn't directly burn the fat covering them to any significant degree.🏋🏻♀️
•I don't wear shorts often, so it's hard to find pictures showing my legs, but I believe these show fat loss and muscle gain as best as I could find! 🌝I began lifting heavy to added size and muscle to my legs as I lost fat. (8️⃣ months apart- still working hard) 😈
The other day I ordered L-glutamine in berry flavour from @myproteinuk. It has soo many benefits so I decided to give it a try for myself! I take this supplement in water before I go to bed (It tastes like ribena💕). The reason I take it at this time❓ Sleep is already the time when you experience the greatest releases of growth hormone, and it's the time when you turn all that hard work you've been doing into physical results. L-glutamine is also thought to be able to help combat symptoms of overtraining, so taking it with deep, recuperative rest is a no-brainer💪
Alright guys so I made this page mostly for myself, but a little for anyone else who may be interested in my journey. My highest weight was over 245lbs and I am currently 178lbs. The picture on the left was taken Feb. 2016 and the picture on the right was taken December 2017. I started this weight loss journey because I was just tiered!! Tiered of my clothes not fitting, tiered of not feeling good about myself, tiered of being out of breath when I walked to classes, AND I was on the verge of needing medication for high blood pressure at age 23! I had lost 60 lbs by October 2016 when my fiancé proposed to me while we were on vacation in Europe. With all the parties, holidays, and wedding events I had let myself get back up to 220 by March 2017. I re motivated myself over the summer of 2017 and got back down to 190. Over the last few months I have lost another 10 pounds, but I am still having trouble finding motivation keeping my fitness and nutrition in check. Something that has always helped keep me on track in the past (with anything) has been to involve as many people as possible to keep me accountable, and that's the purpose for this page. Every day I will post the fitness activity I am doing for the day. I have found myself constantly skipping gym days or at home workouts, and giving countless excuses (I'm too tiered, today was a bad day, I have too much homework, I don't feel the best, etc). There are only 100 days left until wedding day and I want to be active for every single one of those days, no excuses. Whether that means I do a full 3 hour gym work out, a 20 minute HIIT at home, an hour of yoga, or play a soccer game that is all okay the goal is just to be active every single day for 100 days!! I will also probably post some transformation pictures, workout details, and possibly nutrition stuff as well. We're in the 21st century y'all so why not use Instagram to keep me accountable?? #letsdothis#100daychallenge#fitness#fitnessmotivation#transformation#weightlosstransformation#weightloss#weightlossmotivation#sweatingforthewedding
September 2015➡December 2017
On the left healthy to me was doing three hours of cardio and not eating over 900 calories a day. If I did not achieve my workout or went over my calorie limit I was a failure health wise. Having that mindset was actually hurting me mentally and physically. I was tired all of the time,I felt sick all of the time(my hair started to fall out),at that point I couldn't think straight. Today I couldn't even imagine being where I'm at now back then. The path I was heading down was the wrong one and instead of staying on that path I decided to change my ways for the better. Im happier, healthier, and stronger mentally and physically💪
Coming up on my fourth year of my #weightlossjourney and I could not be more proud of myself. I still have so many #goals I want to accomplish this upcoming #newyear but I am happy with how far I have come and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me. I'm just a young woman on a mission and I'm not stopping until I accomplish everything I set out to do💜
