I was discussing Presidents w/a friend recently on who was a favorite.. and although we agreed to disagree, it made me think of this monument. Crossing from Indiana into Illinois, a young Abe Lincoln made his way through the state. The rest is history, as they say. Today we are featuring the TALLEST building in Springfield, Hammons Tower!!!!!!! Standing tall and proud at 270 feet, the office building was completed in 1987, costing $15,000,000.
