Today I turn 32 and reflect back on this past year. I think about the fact that I was supposed to be married and most likely living in a different state by 32. I had goals with ideas of how to get there and most likely headed to starting a family. Instead of all that happening, I ended up losing my grandfather, and needing a second knee surgery that basically did nothing but make my knee feel worse.
Today I’m 32. Same job, same knee pain and trying to figure out a new set of goals. I feel like I float by day by day. Doing the everyday 9 to 5 and running errands on weekends. Constantly in pain between my knee and back but still try to get through the everyday grind.
Today I turn 32. Today is a start to a new beginning. Today I want to start getting my health in order. Mentally and physically. I want to find my smile where it’s not forced. Im blessed with my new group of friends I’ve found through work, my new outlook on life and my culture. My heart is full moving forward with hopes of a better year.
AMAZING NIGHT AT #TheFridaCinema for the #VGHC screening of Miracle! I love this movie and the event was awesome! Huge surprise having some of the actors/hockey players do a QA after!!! Side note: I loved that The Frida programmed VG/HC with RuPauls Drag Race! #perfect#violentgentlemen#Violentgents
so most of you know I'm a crazy @lakings hockey lady & I really wanted to share with y'all what @violentgentlemen did for me. they shared our story & gave me a gift card with enough money to be able to get all of this. this was so touching & got me emotional. this meant a lot to me, I was able to get a bunch of rad tees, a hoodie, beanie & the sweet duffel bag I'd always kept an eye on. I wasn't expecting this at all. I just wanted to thank them for helping me & let you know this is the kind of company they are. please support them, they don't make em like this anymore. 🖤
