Something new. Old School Slip Cover Series : #1 Philly International 1976. Slip covers were the paper covers that protected the vinyl record inside the cardboard album cover, just in case someone out there doesn't know. I loved me a slip cover. They were a world of knowledge for my ravenous hunger for information about artists. Generally one of three things could be found printed on them. 1. Lyrics & Credits 2. Artwork relating to the artist or 3. Record Label advertisements featuring other releases. This one is cool because it shows what was going on at Philly International in 76. Who was signed, the latest available product the album covers, etc. As the record played back then I would be jumping back and forth between reading the back of an album and perusing whatever was on the slip cover. Opening the plastic on a brand new album, and removing the slip cover to see what was on it was like a bonus gift to me when buying records. I couldn't wait to read it up. The cherry on top... #BBSCAOTD#slipcovers#numberone#philadelphiainternational#vinyllove#vinylporn#vinylcommunity#vinylcore#vinylcollection#recordalbum#vinyljunkie#vinyladdict#linernotes#credits#whodoeswhat#theonehundredlivesofbillbrown
Neil Young with Crazy Horse - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
Neil Young's second album (and his first with Crazy Horse) released in 1969, and now regarded as a classic.
This album has been on my list for a while, but I never saw it for anything less than silly money, but I came across this copy in a used record shop for £5 and snapped it up!
It is such a wonderful album, and the genesis for the iconic sound that would help make Neil Young a legend. I'm a little embarrassed by how many Neil Young albums I've bought in the last few months, but hey, they are all amazing, and it's money well spent!! #neilyoung#crazyhorse#60s#rock#classic#everybodyknowsthisisnowhere
