To my non vegan pals 😘👉🏼do you think you could taste any difference? I know I may be a bit biased, but I'm honest ... and I think most people would not be able to tell the difference based on taste alone. I now eat a plant based diet, but for the first 2️⃣5️⃣years of my life I ate animal products. It's kind of weird to think about now, but I honestly knew no different. These biscuits and the gravy are both homemade (took like 20 mins?) - made with super simple ingredients, most of which many people already have in their pantry. The @lightlifefoods Gimme Lean meatless veggie sausage is super tasty, and does not have a weird texture❌ Most people think meat substitutes are expensive, and I would not always disagree. BUT, it's definitely not always the case. The veggie sausage by Lightlife, at my local Kroger, is $3.99. I price compared @jimmydean's regular pork sausage roll, @ $4.29! 💸 I guess the moral to my story here ... is that since cutting out 99% of animal products from my diet, I have grown - in many ways. *ill save that for another post* 🙃but when I really think about the biggest changes I've made ... all I can think of is that I just simply buy different products/ingredients now than I used to. I buy fun NEW things that I've never tried before - things like tofu, lentils, jackfruit - and I buy super BASIC ingredients that grandma still uses on the daily - things like wheat flour, beans, herbs and spices. I've expanded my diet to include SO MANY new, different, exciting things that I had never tried before ... out of fear? "I don't like that"? nerves? "I've never tried that"? but yall my taste buds, my mind, my BODY - THANK me. 🙌🏼🙏🏼👏🏼
My point - vegan / plant based / vegetarian - doesn't have to be scary or nerve wracking or expensive.

Student cuisine at its FINEST⭐️ Sainsbury’s freefrom vegetable lasagne and peas... I feel like since going vegan I’ve not really missed out on anything apart from quick ready meals (fish pie and peas used to be my go-to), and so I was very excited to try this bad boy and me oh my it did not disappoint! Cheap and naughty tasting food and yet super low in fat and calories compared to non-vegan alternatives; win win⭐️

Clássico por aqui: mamão com chia + panqueca de aveia com pastinha de avocado 🥑
Pra pastinha amassei meio avocado, espremi meio limão, adicionei sal, pimenta do reino, um pouco de alho e misturei tudo.

Hoy les traigo una fácil idea de desayuno, pan pita integral con semillas de linaza (yo lo compro en el Jumbo), junto con frutita que en este caso es kiwi🌱.
🌵El sándwich tiene: 1/2 pan pita, 1 cda de palta, 2 rodelas de tomate, 2 rodajas de quesillo y lechuga.
🌵 1 kiwi grande.
En chile uno de los alimentos de mayor consumo es el pan, y lo normal de la población es que no se comen la porción que necesitan, sino que se exceden por muchas porciones. Es por eso que cuando las personas me preguntan qué pueden hacer en este conflicto entre estar saludable y comer pan. Yo les digo que le pongan hartas cositas al pan: 🌙Ejemplo: si comen carne, lo ideal es preferir pechuga de pavo o pollo cocida, ya que es la más "sana" entre los embutidos. Comer la porción indicada por un especialista y agregar tomate🍅🍅, lechuga🌱, palta o pepino o zanahoria o porotos verdes, etc. Con que tengan de 3 a 4 ingredientes van a quedar satisfechos👌 y además de acompañar junto a una porción de fruta, siempre tener en cuenta la fruta🍎🍏🍊🍌.

Random throwback but was looking through my summer pictures the other day, and remembered how surprisingly easy it was to eat veggie in Kuwait 🇰🇼 also the fruit and vegetables were all so amazing and delicious 😩 these were the sweetest dates I’ve ever had and DRIED KIWIS which became my obsession 🤤 wish I could find them in the UK

Food doesn’t always have to be complicated. Today I had salad for lunch. I added some tomato and mixed up some lentils, carrot, onion, vegan mayo and herbs. Topped it all off with some hazelnuts. These tomatoes just blew my mind. We got them from the market. They were so sweet and full of flavor. •

BEING VEGAN IS HARD!!😔 when you become a vegan no one tells you about the heartache and stress you will feel (although it’s to worth it) 🤯
Constant footage of cruelty and death on your feed from the beautiful vegan activists you follow and friend can suddenly be so overwhelming. Then to watch your friends and family contribute to that cruelty by buying and eating animal products. Then to be told “vegans are only upset because they haven’t had a steak” is just so heartbreaking! 💔
Today it was all a bit much and I just wanted to crawl under my desk and cry 😭
A big thank you to my amazing friends who may have been in my life only a short time but have filled my heart with love and joy. 💚
I am so lucky to live a life full of compassion and literally save life’s every year by choosing to leave animal products off my plate. 🐷🐮🐥🐶🐰 We won’t stop fighting until every cage is empty 💚🙏🏻
