This weeks zero waste grocery haul, naners not pictured they’re ripening on the countertop. Plenty of raw vegan, whole plant foods for eating, juicing & blending up! 😊🤤🙃 Finally able to get my organic #hempseeds in bulk, totally package free! 🙌🏼🌈💛🍏🍋🌱 Scooped us heaps of green leaf/ romaine lettuce & spinach! Several varieties of apples, carrots, cucumber, celery, beets, zucchini/squash, lemon, pears, pineapple, and rominesco which I never see organic! 🥒🥦🍎🍍5 boxes of our favorite ataulfo mangos, one of the two foods I buy non-organic. #balance ? Walnuts for my raw taco meat, broccoli, red + green onion, avocado, and two 23oz #masonjars filled with incredible dessert-y #medjooldates 😋🙊🙊 My shopping has evolved so much over the past few years since going vegan. We used to love buying ALL the vegan snacks and ice creams and super food toppers, but since beginning our #zerowaste lifestyle journey our diets naturally started to clean up and simplify. We began eating more whole pant foods, I ended up cutting grains completely and started eating like 95% raw (personal reasons) Basically all the processed junk foods just kind of fell out of our lives. Now we make our own outrageously yummy desserts and snack on sweet delicious fruits! #naturallivingwithsara#raw#govegan#zerowastevegan#rawvegan#wholefoods#sustainableliving#zerowastehaul#abundantlife
So I’m going to have to end my 100 reasons challenge. I’ve really lost the enjoyment of posting on my account because it feels like obligation now. Also though I could possibly think of 10 more reasons or so to post there may not be 100 unless you’d like to count each animal saved then there are millions, each heart made healthier, each artery unclogged, every point lowered in cholesterol, each percent of lowered carbon emissions, these things are countless, immeasurable, and priceless. So I really only need my top 3 reasons. Environment, animals and health.
Dinner tonight in the Neglesworth home. Mine is broccoli and all the potatoes. Thanks coach @bart_hrvatin for letting me have all the potatoes. Then pinto beans and seitan. Mrs. Neglesworth has zoodles, seitan tomato sauce, vegan cheese, and traditional soda bread.
I used to be afraid of what people thought whenever I told them I was vegan. Most people view veganism as an 'extreme' or a diet for hippies. I'm bored of that view. .
Going vegan does not require a huge amount of effort or lifestyle change. It is easy, so freaking easy. Literally don't consume animal products... That's it 😂 it's so much fun to experiment with food - I literally don't think I've ever loved food more in my life. The products you think you will miss like milk, cheese, eggs and meat will soon become something you wish you hadn't eaten sooner. To me, the idea of eating the flesh or produce of another being seems absolutely absurd..... 'extreme' even. 🙄😂 (And even if you do miss some of these things, there is always a substitute).
I ate meat for 19 years of my life. I thought veggies and vegans were weird. I literally had the same view points as so many other people who eat animals do too, but I'm so freaking glad I found the information and decided not to do that anymore.
So yeah, this is just me saying hi, I believe in this idea, and I think you should have a look at it too! I promise you it's not hard. It's rewarding and eye opening. It's fun and freeing and let's you enjoy the life you're given without harming someone else's. 🐏
PS. Yes I did make an infograph. I'm a facts nerd. Enjoy. 😂
