The health benefits of apricots include its ability to treat indigestion, constipation, earaches, fever, skin diseases, cancers, and anemia. Apricots also help improve heart health, and treat strained muscles and wounds. It is also believed that apricot is good for skin care, which is why it makes an important addition to various cosmetics. Furthermore, apricots have the ability to reduce cholesterol levels, prevent the deterioration of vision, aid in weight loss, treat respiratory conditions, boost bone strength, and maintain electrolyte balance in the body.
It is difficult to understand the exact order of apricot cultivation around the world since it was both found wild and grown in prehistoric times. The scientific name is derived from Armenia, which is where most scientists believe apricots originated. However, they were also present in ancient Greece and Rome, and many other experts claim that original cultivation happened in India more than 3,000 years ago. The disputed origins are not important, but the impact of apricots on human health certainly is!
Apricots can be consumed directly, or dried and then eaten as a variety of dried #fruit . It is also used in the preparation of various juices, jams, squash, and jellies. #Apricot oil can also be obtained from its kernel, and those powerful essential oils also have a lot of important impacts on health.
The impressive #health benefits of #apricots are due to the content of vitamins, including vitamins A, C, K, E, and niacin in significant amounts, as well as a number of other essential vitamins in trace amounts (less than 5% of daily requirement). Apricots also have a good mineral content, which includes potassium, copper manganese, magnesium, and phosphorous. They are a very good source of dietary #fiber , like most fruits. The honey mentioned in the video is obviously for non-vegans. You can substitite with maple syrup.
Pancakes 🥞. We sometimes have them for dinner because we kids 🤣 but these are the easiest ones to make.
1.5 cup of oats (grind to flour)
1 ripe banana
1 cup of milk of your choice
Mix everything in a blender and cook as per usual pancakes. Tadaaaa 💃
#TransformationTuesday ‼️ These pics are about 2 yrs apart and a loss net weight of 15 lbs. (195 -> 180) The primary change responsible is an increased understanding of diet’s role in physique. In 2014 I’d been vegan about 5 years and ate relatively healthy. By 2016, I drastically upped my whole plant food intake, limited processed foods much more, and learned about tracking and manipulating calories and macronutrients (carbs, fats, protein.) For the longest time I wanted the definition in the 2016 pic which I thought meant adding more size. As it turns out the appearance of muscularity is largely determined by leanness. Your definition and veins will pop when body fat is lowered. (Less fat hiding muscle!)
🔹 Moral of the story: GAINS don’t always = MASS. The leaner you are the more visible your muscles become and often the BIGGER you will look. More important than anything, keep progressing!
@vegan.wonder.woman.13 showing off her hard work and dedication to the vegan lifestyle! 👏🌱 .
Plants DO have protein, who knew? 😉

Recusava-me.

SELF CARE IS IMPORTANT!
I went for a 10x10 on squats with 315 and 2 minute rests today and after the 4th set my low back, my heart, and my lungs led a revolt and made me drop down to 225 to finish. I'm fully thrashed and SO grateful that I scheduled a haircut with @thefaderoom and a massage with @supermollyg! Pamper me 😇
Clean out the fridge meal! Fajita style tempeh with red bell peppers, yellow onion, fresno peppers and crispy mushrooms🌶We had a couple of peppers that were getting wrinkly and an avocado that was getting soft so we had to act fast😧🌱So yummy!
The Plant Proof Green Phytonutrient Smoothie ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 handfuls of fresh spinach (or 3-4 frozen spinach blocks) ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 frozen banana ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp chia seeds ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1-2 tbsp hemp seeds ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 lemon (juice) ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp spirulina ⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 scoop @vida_glow pineapple & mint greens or other greens powder ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Good handful of blueberries (frozen ideally) ⠀⠀⠀⠀
3-4 fresh mint leaves ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Optional: 1 tsp raw cacao or cacao nibs ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Blend with alkaline filtered water OR if you want this to turn into a meal (rather than a snack) add your favourite nut milk and/or coconut yogurt. Wanting more protein? - add a small scoop of hemp or pea protein (already protein in this smoothie from other ingredients so won’t need much more.
This smoothie is alkalising and a potent source of antioxidants and phytonutrients. Together these work to protect against cellular damage/ageing (neutralise free radicals), prevent disease & promote overall health and vitality. Ditch the processed green juices/smoothies in the supermarkets & make this sort of smoothie with fresh ingredients minus any stabilisers, emulsifiers..your body will 100% thank you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why lemon? Lemon helps alkalise the body and also provides a potent source of Vitamin C to ⬆️ iron absorption from the spinach. Want to ⬆️ iron absorption more? Don’t have coffee or tea within an hour so either side of this smoothie - caffeine reduces iron absorption. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do fruits & veg need to be organic? Short answer is no - if it’s the difference between you eating them or not than non organic are fine. If you can buy organic try to get soft skin fruits & veg like berries as organic whereas plants like avocado & banana do not get as affected by pesticides due to their thick skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are frozen fruits ok? Yes they have been shown to contain almost the same nutrients as unfrozen & are often much cheaper. Great in smoothies - I personally buy frozen berries for smoothies, freeze my own bananas and use fresh fruit for eating with coconut yogurt or fresh fruit salad bowls etc.
This smoothie is loaded with vitamin c, iron, antioxidants, magnesium, protein, omega 3s, dietary fibre & much more!

Positivity and gratitude starts from when you first wake up in the morning ✨🙌🏼🙏🏼
Appreciating the present moment and what we have at this current point seems to be one of the hardest things people find to master. When really it doesn't have to be that hard at all. It all starts with starting your day off on a positive note ✨🙏🏼 .
When your alarm goes off in the morning are you dreading getting out of bed? Thinking of all the excuses of how you can call in sick for work or complain about having to go to a job you don't enjoy? -
As silly as this sounds but you don't have to work in a job you don't enjoy if it is making your life miserable. Yes we need money to live and get by in life but it isn't the be all and end all to happiness. Happiness comes from being just god dam happy in your everyday life doing things EVERYDAY that you enjoy ☺️✨💗.
Your dream job may not start off with a huge pay check but if it can be enough to get you by or you have to tighten your belt a bit to follow your dreams then we say "CHASE IT". If it means at the end of the day you are doing what you love and you leap out of bed everyday filled with happiness then isn't that worth it? 🤔✨🙌🏼🙏🏼😊💗
FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND PASSIONS GUYS AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORK A DAY IN YOUR LIFE AGAIN! 🙌🏼
If you want some more motivation on chasing your goals 👉🏼GO AND WATCH OUR LATEST YOUTUBE VIDEO!! LINK IS IN OUR BIO 💗💗
