What is love? Love is involuntary. Brain science tells us it's a drive like thirst. It's a craving for a specific person. It's normal, natural to "lose control" in the early stage of romance. The ancient Greeks called love “the madness of the Gods.” Modern psychologists define it as the strong desire for emotional union with another person. But what, actually, is love. It means so many different things to different people. Songwriters have described it, “Whenever you’re near, I hear a symphony.” Shakespeare said, “Love is blind and lovers cannot see.” Aristotle said, “Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.”
Love is a force of nature. However much we may want to, we can not command, demand, or take away love, any more than we can command the moon and the stars and the wind and the rain to come and go according to our wishes. Love is bigger than you are. You can invite love, but you cannot dictate how, when, and where love expresses itself. You can choose to surrender to love or not, but in the end, love strikes like lightning: unpredictable and irrefutable. Love does not come with conditions, stipulations, agenda, or codes. Like the sun, love radiates independently.
Love speaks out for justice and protests when harm is being done. Love points out the consequences of hurting oneself or others. It allows room for anger, grief, or pain to be expressed and released. It cannot be imprisoned, or be legislated. Love is not a substance, not a commodity, not even a marketable power source. Love has no territory, no borders. Love is inherently free.
It comes, or not, by grace, of its own will and in its own timing, subject to no human's planning.

I’m a huge street art fan and I’m usually on the hunt for it when I travel, but I was super lucky to have stumbled upon the colorful and hidden neighborhood of San Berillo in Catania when I was there last month. And of course I couldn’t resist a little #urbanyoga while I was at it 🎨🙃❤️
San Berillo is a district in the historical center of Catania, Sicily. In the 1990s it was considered one of the biggest red light districts in Europe. Today, it has turned into an urban art project called the Red Line Distreet, which is against gentrification in the San Berillo neighborhood thanks to Catania-based collective Res Publica Temporanea.

This challenges balance and flexibility. Being up high here tested my mental focus and faith to fly. I felt scared, probably like the baby eagle finding its wings for the first time.
Finding the center line that runs through the crown to the ground gave me the support I needed to feel.
If the stability is proving tricky, you can use a wall to support your back.
If you have the binds, squeeze your arms and your thighs tightly into one another as you sink into the pelvis (think #ChairPose ) slightly tucking the pubic bone.
If you're feeling up for an added challenge:
Try closing your eyes!
OR Try sinking even further down as you "fold into your wings" aka spreading the shoulder blades- It's something I like to play with when I'm in Eagle, and it isn't difficult as it seems! (second photo.)

“Send energy out of the fingertips”
It would be so cool if we could literally send beams of energy out of our fingers like superheros, but even if we can’t see it, it’s there. We all emit waves of energy from our bodies and spirits and in Warrior 2 often you will hear this cue to remind you to be actively engaged all the way through your fingertips. So go ahead, visualize those beams and embrace your own inner superpowers! .
