Yesterday I had absolutely 🚫 motivation to workout. I started the video and just laid on the floor halfway through it. But we are allowed to have those kind of days!!
Today I got back on my feet and knocked upper body out of the park!!
My upper body is on FIRE 🔥 and my arms are shaking 💪 Great workout this morning and I can feel myself getting stronger. Just because I workout from home doesn’t mean the workouts are not intense! #upperbodyworkout
Three horrible facts😉 today is not Friday, tomorrow is not Friday, even the day after tomorrow isn’t Friday! Might as well make the most of today then hey! Upper body fix completed...I really need to decide which day like the most out of @21dayfix but they are all so good! I do love this workout... I have loved how it’s helped to sculpt my arms, shoulders and back! Who doesn’t want toned arms? Guys, us ladies love strong arms 💪🏻 and to the ladies out there who wants nice toned arms for those summer dresses?👗This workout has been great for my mindset before and after my surgery as Ive still been able to work on my upper body while my lower has been broken or now healing! So for me a great body and mind workout 👌🏻My arms crave for heavier weights but with my graft is not fully healed so my knee isn’t allowed what I’d like to lift! That moment when you realize "I can lift heavier!" Yeah, that moment is 💣💣💣! My light weights were once my heaviest 😱 #progressnotperfection ! .
To be honest, I doubted I could lift the 15lbs for #upperbodyfix . I was planning on getting some 12lbs to use instead. I was afraid to try and possibly fail. (I've been a "if I think I'm gonna fail, I avoid it" mentality for soooo long). I don't know what made today different other than I was tired of my baby crying all day and there being nothing I could to do to soothe him. My frustration with being unable to help turned into a "f-this, I'm gonna lift these!!!!" #momlifemoment . Turns out I CAN do hard things. Yeah there was some #uglycrying involved today. But things are getting better. .
Another day down! We crushed that upper body fix today! I didn't think it was too bad except that the push ups damn near killed me. 🤷🏼♀️I managed and hopefully by the end of this they won't be an issue. So here's what I've noticed so far in the last week or so that I've really been watching what I eat and working out... my energy is up. My positivity is up, (or would be if the news wasn't so damn depressing). I haven't needed a nap the last few days. Which is HUGE for me. My lunch was not awesome so I made sure to get some extra veggies at dinner. @physicalkitchness ‘s Hawaiian burgers and pina colada coleslaw was BOMB as usual. I used Broccoli slaw in the slaw and then sautéed some zucchini and cut up some cucumbers as well.
Seeing my energy up, skin getting better. I'm in an accountability group called "Love the skin you're in" and I truly want to love the skin I'm in after the challenge 💛 It starts with small choices, decisions to change little habits one at a time. I had an obstacle last night that is my biggest downfall.... late night eating. Who's with me?! 🙈
I did not snack late at night even with cupcakes in the house. Cupcakes are my absolute favorite but can't stop when I start so I avoided them all together, which I can honestly say I've never one. I would USUALLY tell myself it's "just one cupcake today", then tomorrow it'll "just be a beer" then at the end of the week I've put so much unnecessary crap and calories in my body that just didn't need to happen.
You can't out work a bad diet. I don't want to sweat and bust my butt during a workout just to bomb it with bad food.
Take responsibility for your actions, make a choice and give it all you got!
Having a goal is the first step to achieving it.

Day 9 complete! (I skipped Sunday because of my super long shift at work). Upper body last night and I'm beyond proud of myself! I was much stronger than last week! I was able to hold my plank the whole 60sec, able to do my push ups and I wasn't hating myself! This was a fun workout! #21dayfix#upperbodyfix#strongereveryday#ididit
