Gluing two pieces of veneer together between mdf cauls with packing tape as barrier for preventable adhesion. I’m using 2x4’s as cauls to spread the clamping pressure. This isn’t something magical and yes a vac bag would work but for 35 dollars in supplies I’m clamping.

Day 20 #MarchMeetTheMaker ⠀
Tools & materials...⠀
The post delivery today was so exciting I had to share! It sort of fits with today's prompt, materials.⠀
BELLADONNA arrived on gorgeous velvet. It has a lovely shimmer to it and I'll be stroking it for the rest of the day. Not only sumptuous fabric but labels popped in too. Such a good post day. ⠀
BELLADONNA (Deadly Nightshade)⠀
"...the plant is so named because the berries of the plant were used by Renaissance women to make themselves more attractive. The juice would be squeezed from the berries and applied directly to the eye using a feather. Atropine in the berry juice would cause the pupil to dilate."⠀⠀

@perfectstitched turns out some great work in his Utah based upholstery shop. Love the diamond stitched pattern in these seats. Head over to @perfectstitched and show some love for the super nice work they are doing.
As always, support those who support hot rodders.
Bought an old barber chair a few weeks ago. Excited to have an old friend Zach Black redo the upholstery. If you need work done message him, hands down the best work I've ever seen. @zachblackmfg . This is some of his work, .
Today I finished one of my favourite upholstery projects by making a piped box cushion to go in the rocking chair. I used my fab new spring action scissors which were superb. However I also bent several pins, broke a needle and pricked my fingers more times than I care to mention. At one point I wasn't sure who would win - me or the cushion! I am pleased with the end result but not in a hurry to repeat the experience #upholstery#lovefabric#finishedproject#fabriccombo#sorefingers#brokenneedle#velvet#rockingchair
