Q - What needs to be sacrificed for my greater good? ♡The Hierophant♡
I need to break some rules in so much as I need to challenge the normal perceptions of what and who I should be according to those in power in society and get out of the little box I have been shoved into. "One side makes you taller, one side makes you small."
In order for this transformation to take place I must sacrifice my good girl attitude that's afraid to rock the boat. Time for a change!
Lesson from the caterpillar - transformation is totally normal and nothing to be afraid of. You are still you at your core. Honour the Divine by being true to you and your calling.
Sacrifice resistance to change.
Sacrifice the conception of what a conditioned society believes spirituality to look and act like. Dont sacrifice yourself and keep yourself small! Don't fall into line and be a drone.
Stand tall, celebrate your gifts. Be more fluid in your practice and do what lights you up. Be proud of who you are. You are a Divine being!
Down with the system that is failing. We need a new way. A peaceful way. A way that enhances our connections not seeks to undermine and build barriers between us and to Source. A way that allows us ALL to grow and flourish, not just the well positioned few. A way that celebrates us all and gives us all the freedom to use our God and Goddess given gifts for the betterment of the world. Let's celebrate our individuality but come together over common ground. "Who ARE you?" Asked the caterpillar. "Why I'm me and proud of it". I say. "I am just like you, but not like you. I am you but not you. We are connected yet seperate." I think he liked that answer.
We must all;
Choose a path of enlightenment and learning.

⚪Day 24 : ACHIEVEMENTS⚪
These are my lovely Loops necklaces. They are hand knitted, hand bound, hand stitched and hand painted. I made over 100 of these for @anthropologie (along with several 100 other pieces) just me and my hands (and my ever encouraging husband). It took some serious physical and mental strength to fulfill the order in time for the deadline. Long days, sleepless nights, sore hands and far too much overthinking during the many, many hours of making!
It did feel like a huge honour to have such a renowned company recognise my designs and in turn have others see my jewellery in a new light. Like I wasn't crazy after all! 🤓
However for me, the greatest achievement in all of it, was about getting paper jewellery seen by a wider audience. Challenging preconceptions of what jewellery could be and what it 'should' be made from, had always been my driving force.
Success is an interesting concept, as I find that for much of society it seems to be measured in the size of the cash in your wallet?💰 For me, I simply am not motivated by that. I strongly believe artists / designers /creatives should not undervalue themselves (ask any of the students I have taught over the years!) But chasing the dollar is just not what excites me to get up in the morning.
For me achievement is: recognition by my peers, seeing my work in print or at a show alongside those I respect, extending my knowledge, innovation in material/technique/process, treading the untrodden, inspiring others to question, having the privilege to pass what I have learnt to aspiring designers of the future.
And that's just some of my measure of achievement for myself. It's taken a while to understand that, it still takes strength not to compare myself to others' definition but I shall continue seeking my clarity! 💪
Would anyone like to share their measures of achievement? ❤️ #MeetTheMaker#March#GirlBoss#BehindTheScenes#LifeAsAJeweller#jewelrypost#jeweller#smallbizowner#independentbusiness#Shropshire#WomenWhoCreate#Saloukee#handmade#unconventional#rebel#achievements#strength#success#clarity#definition#bestrong#learning ❤️ Thank you @joannehawker ❤️
