Ngl that recent essay is still really making me doubt my essay writing skills like now I'm so worried about this English even though it's not related 😭 having a bit of a 💩 time in general atm tbh but I'm going to drag myself out of this ❤️🙆🏻
In my past, diets made me miserable. I've tried most of them out there and whatever worked, only worked short term and then I relapsed. I spent a lot of time blaming myself for lack of self control and willpower, a lot of time obsessing about what I eat and how much I eat, when in reality, the answer was very simple.
Make a conscious effort to give your body what it needs to thrive, limit the things that harm your body and do the maintenance and improvement that needs to be done (exercise and recovery). You wouldn't want to fuel your car with sand when it runs on gas, would you? You wouldn't skip the maintenance treatments. So why would you think your body deserves less than your car, when in fact it deserves a lot more?
Be mindful about what your actual needs are and what is cluttering your mind, what you really requite vs what is a quick fix of short term pleasure to compensate for something else that you can't fix right now for any reason.
I said it is simple, but I never said it is easy. It will require a lot of work, but it will genuinely make you a happier person. And the weight? Forget about the weight. Your body will know what to do when you treat it the way it wants to be treated.
