Dhaulagiri - the 7th highest mountain of our Earth is 8167 meters high. It was the first mountain higher than 8000 meters to be measured and was thought to be our highest mountain until 1838. Here it is seen from the famous Poon Hill view point.
Meet Damoon. He is from Iran and he has been staying with us. In his stays we are getting to witness his creative self. Like his father, Damoon is an expressive artist who does art by being in discipline with neo-expressionism art. He makes artworks from any material locally available and turns it into a genuine art piece with his unique artistic perception. Now let's be familiar with another creative side of Damoon. The man plays violin like he has been playing it for few hundred years back – yes, he is that good. Every time he hits a single note and a few more notes, he leaves everyone speechless. For a moment it feels like everything around us is lost and the soothing sound of his music is the only important thing that matter. This particular picture was taken during a barbeque event hosted by the hostel. Damoon headlined the event with few of his fellow Nepalese musicians. He was magnificent that night like always.

A mix of mediocre weather and moonlight prevented us from taking any decent Milky Way shot during our Manaslu trek. However, we choose to extend our trip and spend an extra day in the sleepy village of Bimthang (3700m) which is dwarfed by Himlung Himal (7126m).
And this just happened to be the perfect night 👊. Didn’t realize it till I randomly woke in the middle of the night and looked out the window.
Thankfully my friend Fabian didn’t mind me waking him up at 04:00 to borrow his camera 🤣 (Sony A99)
I will gladly sacrifice sleep to capture Astro-Milky-Himalaya shots and I’m sure @kornhousezh agrees after we spent an hour freezing our butts off!
