Be honest with yourself...What are you willing to 🚫sacrifice🚫 to reach your goals? For me (and I'm NOT saying that everyone should do this) it's sleep. My body has gotten used to getting 5.5-6 hours of sleep during the week over the years. Now, do I WANT to get up at 3am to get my morning routine and workout in? HECK NO! But I DO want to achieve my goals, and working out in the morning fits my schedule the best.
Whatever you choose to sacrifice for your goals doesn't have to be some BIG thing in the eyes of others. It's not about one-upping the person next to you. It's about doing what is necessary for YOU to accomplish your goals. Think about it, and share with a friend or accountability partner!!
Its always the last few reps that take the most mental toughness to push through. But also those last few reps are most important for growth. Typically its right around the 6th or 7th rep of ten that I tend to pause or want to stop. Not because I’m exhausted but it’s a mental stick point. So each time I’m going for 10-12 reps I have to prepare myself mentally to not pause and fight through to the last rep. What’s your stick point when training?
Does anyone else get freaking HYPE from watching the Olympics?! The amount of work that goes into preparing for this level of competition is unimaginable. These athletes are the perfect example of when the work gets hard, push harder.
