The leading cause of daytime fatigue is dehydration 💦
You don't need coffee... You need water!
50-70% of the human body is water. Men should be 50-65% total body water, and women should be 45-60% (due to higher body fat percentages, our composition ratios adjust).
Our cells don’t function without water, and the body has evolved a finely tuned, complex system for making sure it has the water it needs under a wide range of conditions.
Common Signs of Dehydration:
🔹High Resting Heart Rate
🔹Skin less elastic (“pinch test”)
🔹Lack of tears or sweat
🔹Parched / Thirsty (very often we confuse thirst and hunger... sometimes you just needed a bit drink of water)
🔹Urine may appear darker (more yellow or even brown/orange, rather than clear), however consider it may be discolored by foods like asparagus, blackberries and beets.
Good hydration not only gives energy and better muscle function, it also protects against kidney stones, vascular diseases like stroke, and is especially important for people with diabetes. There is evidence that it can even reduce exercise-induced asthma.
The amount needed is affected by what people eat, their weight and body fat percentage, activity level, and even the environment in which they live ☀️🌴
The Institute of Medicine stated that all kinds of liquids can contribute to a person’s total water needs, including beverages like juices and sodas, as well as the moisture contained in foods like fruits, vegetables, soups and even meats. It’s estimated that the moisture in food accounts for about 20 percent of a typical person’s water intake. I wouldn’t necessarily count a black coffee or black tea as 1 cup, but maybe 1/2 because of its dehydrating effects (diuretic).
Studies at the University of Connecticut’s Human Performance Laboratory showed that dehydration can adversely affect vigilance, concentration, reaction time, learning, memory, mood and reasoning and can cause headaches, fatigue and anxiety.
Side note: glass or metal are best. Avoid plastic bottles.

Growing up I didn’t only have two grandmothers, I had three. Today would have been this beauty’s 84th birthday and every day without her is extremely hard for me. I not only grew up with three grandmothers I mean they were at EVERY milestone, hardship and fun get together of my life. Every single time no matter what. •
Having a disease you can’t control you can’t stop you can slow down you can’t predict is not only hard for that person it’s extremely painful for those that know and love them. Seeing the most intelligent woman I know - a principal, a teacher for decades, one of the most caring and loving people in my life lose control of herself was heartbreaking. It didn’t just happen for a year, it happened slowly for a decade.
I still remember getting a call that my aunt bee was found in the pouring rain wandering her neighborhood. My first thought was well at least she’s dancing in the rain but of course deep down inside I knew this was a sign she was only decreasing in health. •
When I don’t want to work on myself I’m having a bad day want to avoid working out or eating right or feeling like life is against me I tap into my higher power.
My Aunt Bee DID exercise the majority of her life. It’s no secret exercise and brain health are directly linked. That fear I hold inside of me is something I can only control by the way I live my life. She was one of the greatest joys for me and every holiday I don’t get a card from heart hurts. Although I can’t cheers to her on her day full of green I can continue to live in her legacy. 💚By NEVER stopping being a student - that one I KNOW she would be very proud of.

💚By YES eating dessert for dinner because its ok to live on the edge sometimes.

If done right, this one will blow up your chest and can fix a lot of postural issues over time
Most bench pressing bros in the gym are too tight in the pecs and hunched over from all the pushing movements, without structural balance, you’ll look terrible. -
To sort those issues, stretch the tight pecs and strengthen the weak back muscles
This strengthens AND lengthens your pecs
The main action of the pecs is to bring your upper arm (biceps) to the mid line of the body. Think about getting your elbows together, NOT your hands. Then you’ll feel the fire 🔥
By setting the pivot further back you can get a deeper stretch
Always start light and work within your healthy range of motion, don’t force it. -
By spending time in the stretch position you’ll be getting positive changes over time
Try this one out and let me know how it goes. Aim for higher reps due to the nature of the type of exercise (isolation), 10-15+ reps

No Mummy Muffin Top!! – YES!!!
This was a goal of mine (a non-scale ⚖ victory) I was determined to conquer 💪🏼entering into this challenge! – 54 days of hard work and timed nutrition and so far so good! (work in progress)
This shows me wearing my most expensive workout clothes (Bodyism). I read about them in Vogue and ‘working in fashion’ I was sold…no standard sportswear for me, (way too fancy for that!) .
So my lovely hubby treated me to this outfit for my birthday. I eagerly put it on (envisioning) that I would look exactly like the model I had seen wearing them on-line and oh the disappointment! .
The old saying of you can’t polish a 💩'– me being the 💩 in the fancy workout stuff . What I have learnt though is that if you really commit #trainmean 🏋🏼♂and #eatclean 🥗then yes you too can look just like the model (ok not exactly)!!
BUT they now fit so much better! no rolls at the top of the leggings and podginess/back fat 🐖 from the bra top! 🎉
