Arm workout (with some deadlifts thrown in there of course) ✅. I tend to focus 💯 into one thing at a time, which usually means running goals •or• strength training. Trying to balance the scales ⚖️ to do BOTH each week. Instead of thinking of these two things as separate goals, I’ve been treating days with weights the same as I would stretching to better my running. Took measurements again today and I really needed this motivation. Starting measurements were taken on 1/8/2018 with the love your body series. It really helped jump start an amazing process! Still doing my Daily Moves and studio work outs, but I’ve also incorporated other things. I love when I get on the floor at the gym and know what I’m doing! It’s been 10 weeks of grinding so hard-I’m so proud of myself! I have a husband, two kids, a job, friends, a church obligation, and this is something that keeps me zen! I have found making time for myself is a wonderful start to my day. Stop yo-yo dieting. Stop not eating carbs. Start putting real food into your body! I’m so grateful for all the things I’ve learned and keep learning! I’m so grateful for @toneitupnutrition because it has guided me through this whole process! I’m so excited to see what the future holds for me ❤️
Lacking some serious motivation this week. Balancing school, work, life, and adulting is stressful. My life is wonderful and I am forever grateful for the opportunities given, but boy oh boy it can get overwhelming. Which is why it’s ok to allow yourself a break, smell the roses, and listen to yourself when you need a rest. Take it one day at a time, and relax everything will eventually work out 💪

The dog knocked the baby over TWICE.
The baby pulled a coffee mug off the counter which fell onto his cheekbone. #firstshiner
But though we had lots of tears today (me included), we had a lot of fun too. Playing outside, making faces, trying a new recipe... it was still a good day!
We have the ability to choose what we take away. And today I’ll remember the smiles & giggles in between the tears.
Happy weekend! I’ve been trying to do two-a-days in this final stretch before the wedding. Worked out every morning, and got in another workout a few evenings. When I didn’t do a full pm workout, I at least got my steps in while watching tv. Have also been trying to eat smaller, healthier meals for dinner, but have still been fighting comfort food cravings. My wedding dress fits, so I’m happy as-is — any extra weight loss is just a bonus. Currently on our way to the mountain to introduce our husky mix to the snow ❄️ As much as growing up in Chicago made me hate snow and cold, I’m so excited to see her reaction, because I think she’ll love it. Have a great weekend!

Today's workout was functional HIIT from The Optimal Body, and 30 minutes had me like 😩...😂 it was certainly tough but satisfying when I was done! 💪 Followed it up with some glute work. 4x15-body weight & light weights. It was perfect! 🤩 Finished up my workout with some stretching. Great start to the weekend! Hope you all have had an excellent day! Xx

Four years separates these photos. These past four years have been extremely formative. I became an EMT🚑, worked in an Emergency Department🏥, fell in love😍, got married💍👱🏼♂️❤️, moved to England with my husband🇺🇸✈️🇬🇧, traveled to countries I’ve only dreamed of visiting🌎, and conquered deployments✈️💋🇺🇸. Four years ago I wanted to make a change. Since a young age I played sports year around, all the way through my senior year. Exercise happened naturally, while at practice (swim team and lacrosse). However after graduation, I was lost; I wanted to transform my training. In addition to transforming the way I trained, I also wanted to learn how to “fuel my body”. I knew eating well was important, but nothing could have prepared me for the drastic changes that ensued when you truly fuel your body the way it deserves🌱 (I also found out I was intolerant to wheat 🌾 and dairy🥛, and completely eliminated those from my diet👋🏻). Four years ago I signed up for @toneitup and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made👯♀️
Over the past year I’ve also found love for @kayla_itsines and the community she has created. I had the pleasure of hearing @kayla_itsines speak at “A morning with Kayla Itsines” in London a few months ago and she is the most inspirational woman I’ve ever met. She has a true passion for helping women be the absolute best version of themselves possible and has such a refreshing outlook on what it means to truly means to live a healthy life. I have completed #bbg three times💪🏻 and am currently mixing #BBG with #PWR . #deathbykayla is no joke and regardless of how many 28 minute circuits I do, I’m still drenched in sweat by the end!💦 Our bodies are absolutely incredible and capable of wonderful things; treating them well is a must💗
