I kept “thrive” because this represents a shift in my lifestyle approach that ultimately drives the core of what I do. After Leyden died, I didn't see the point of living a meaningful or enjoyable life. I was simply trying to survive. 😞 With support, work and time, I shifted from wanting to survive to wanting to thrive. I dropped “Melissa” because “thrivewithmelissa” felt a bit too ra-ra cheery to truly capture me (frequent sarcasm 😳) and quite frankly, I realized it was a mouthful to say. 😵
Since there were plenty of Melissa’s but no other last names that started with “DL” at my yoga studio (Shocker) 😂 I was quickly nicknamed Melissa D-L and now, that’s often further reduced to just call me D-L. 🙃

Start with candles and air fresheners. The internal pollution in your house matters far more than what's outside. It takes just a few minutes to go through your house with a trash bag and get it all OUT! I did it years ago and knowing it's gone feels amazing 🙌🙌🙌 Then get to diffusing! Are they loving, accepting, forgiving, open, honest, judgement free? Do you trust them, can you confide in them, are they proud of you? *big question* do they encourage growth and push you to be better? Take a moment to think consciously of those who light you up when you talk to them and who you look forward to hearing from. Spend more time with them. Tell them how much you appreciate them & nurture those friendships. 💕

This seems to be the avocado soup of choice these days voted on by our GYS cleansing & juicing community. This soup brings a nice filling nutrient rich balance into an all-liquid cleanse, and is also great for pre-cleansing, post cleansing or as a tasty plant-based meal anytime! Recipe serves 4: 4 cups filtered water, 1 large 🥑 (or more depending on desired consistency), large handful of wild arugula, large handful sunflower sprouts, 1 cucumber, 1 stalk celery, 1 tbs chickpea miso, 1-2 tbs lemon juice, sea salt or tamari or Bragg’s (to taste), cayenne pepper to taste, 1 tsp spirulina. Blend in high speed blender. Add dulse flakes. You can add any leafy greens and any fresh herbs & spices you desire!
