I believe God catches our attention with beautiful sunsets sometimes as a little hug from heaven. Shortly after having a break down in my room, I was sitting in my chair at the table. I noticed a fiery reflection in the window in front of me so I quickly jumped up and looked behind me. Such a beautiful, bright sunset! I was then reminded that minutes before that I was crying out to God in my pain, and had asked him to show some sort of sign, or comfort. I truly needed that "little" hug from heaven.
Yesterday was hard, what day isn't though right now? But God gave me a joy today even in my hurting. David let me sleep in until after 9, woke up to a Cold press coffee he brought home for me, kids had started school on their own, made my breakfast, the kids had their shakes, and then we did some yoga stretching as a family. After that I did my workout while the older ones made lunch, and then after my shower they played outside. David's belated birthday present arrived, did dinner, some pm yoga with the kids, and then read a story about Easter and off to bed they went. I needed this little refresher today, and am so thankful my family met me in my time of need. Lots of hugs and kisses from them, extra help, and a lot of love.
Sometimes it is hard for me to focus on what is in front of me, when my heart hurts so much. It's a process for sure, but wouldn't be where I am without these little munchkins, a loving husband, wonderful friends who let me vent, and a family that is my whole world!
