One thing I will miss about Winter is the early sunsets and that sometimes you get seemingly longer time for good light (when conditions are right). Maybe it is just in my head but I think Summer sunsets go so fast!
Whenever I go to shoot a sunset, I always try to head there a few hours before and sometimes I'll spend the whole day checking the area out. The day I took this photo, I couldn’t decide on which side I wanted to be on (lighthouse side or the north pier). So I did both. I am glad I did because while I was on the north pier a darker high level cloud muted the sun so much so that it glowed a yellow. It also made the water look hypnotic. I jumped in my car and headed over to the lighthouse side for another shot and by the time the sun actually set, the sky lit up in pinks and purples. ————————————————
