Three jobs in a row in shades of autumnal oranges must have been inspired by our last season needing the warm colours brought into the home. This slouch corner sofa’s frame in black leather was far from needing a reupholster so we decided to keep it the same and just work on the cushion covers. The rusty orange is from Sunbury’s Nappa range called Sienna and the piping and buttons in a charcoal grey Nappa Bluefin. We’ve now created it into a masculine chic piece with an added extra feature of being able to turn the seat cushions over for a reversible darker fabric option of nappa’s navy blue Moonlight for when their young boys convert the front room into a den when they have sleepovers. Now for the fun part, adding colours for scatter cushions, we could add turquoise’s and mustard yellows for a brighter warmer finish or shades of greys for a subtle change and don’t forget textures!!! Here are some ideas that I have shared with the customer what takes your fancy against them? Check my Facebook page for the ideas. We aim to make three 19x19 scatter cushions and three bolster cushions #chloesupholsteryandpatchwork#reupholstery#upholstery#sunburydesign#slouchsofa#buttons#rustyorange
Hard to believe the difference! The little teal buttoned chair had to have some re-alignment and some new brackets to make it sturdy and stiff, sanded down the castors layers of paint to reveal a velvety effect in silver and a new cushion insert. Re-upholstered in Sunbury’s Imola Kingfisher with buttons and piping in Lux Android. The purple armchair needed a lot of work, new legs created on a CNC machine varnished to match the back legs, a lot of extra brackets and filling in, extra stuffing on top and finally re-upholstered in Sunbury’s Imola Byzantium with buttons and piping in Lux Brighton. Decided to change the look completely to modernise the chair by removing the border and adding a single button in the middle. #chloesupholsteryandpatchwork#sunbury#sunburydesignfabric#sunburydesign#reupholstery#upholstery#armchair#chair
Funky combination of colours in yellow, green, lilac and teal. Drop in seat in Sunbury’s Teal geometric pattern Chelsea Schooner, underneath is for storage so it has a little tab on the front to help lift it out. Reversible scatter cushions in a combination of fabrics from Sunbury Darwin Locust, Lana India, Alba Lime green and Apex Dive plus some remnants in stock which went well together. #chloesupholsteryandpatchwork#rustic#booth#diningtable#sunbury#sunburydesign
