• Be the change •
While I was in Auckland last week, I had the pleasure of eating these delicious organic blue tacos from @winonaforevercafe 😋 Filled with marinated squid, kimchi guacamole, coriander AND micro greens- it was definitely a partay in my mouth and my bod!💃🏻
While change in the food industry is incredibly SLOW- it is so inspiring to see innovative companies such as this one stepping up and creating fresh & nutrient packed (not too mention flavour packed) meals for its community. I am lucky that the GC is full of these types of businesses, but there are too many city’s still brimming with cheap and nasty fast food chains as their main means of “dining out” (and no subway is not fresh nor healthy🙄). The point is, it’s up to us to be the change we wish to see in the world and that includes saying YES to companies that have our best interests at heart and saying NO to the companies who are blatantly causing our current obesity and health crisis🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️ no matter how “tasty” (aka addictive) they are on the surface. It’s not about being perfect, but if we can all start choosing more consciously even just once a day, imagine how quickly change would occur💚
80% of business partnerships do not work out.
Great partnerships happen with honest communication, understanding of each others expectations, allowing both to flourish in their strengths and supporting growth in each others weaknesses.

Forgot how much I love morning runs, there’s literally nobody around 🙌🏻 today’s run was 1 mile easy followed by 3x10 mins brisk with 2 min recovery jogs inbetween and safe to say I smashed it! Hit 4 miles at my fastest time ever, 41 mins exactly! My brisk pace was less than 10 mins a mile which is pretty fast for me 🏃🏼♀️this just goes to show that consistency really does pay off! Monthly mileage currently sitting at 39.9 🎉 #mapmyrun#fitbit#running

⚠WOMEN DO NOT OWE MEN ANYTHING⚠
(Sorry for a serious post)
My ex boyfriend is stalking me AGAIN.
I would like to make a PSA. *Do not give any of my information out to anyone unless I give it to them. *
MY safety is MORE important than your stupid conversations with them. Stalking isn't funny. Its traumatizing. #Feminist#StrongWomen
Few clips from last nights bench &’upper body work. Finished with some dead stop incline presses.
But.....after tonight’s squat session don’t even want to post it was so bad. 🙄 I’m wondering if I need to take some time off to take care of my back issues & work on few other things I’ve got going on in life. Idk? Maybe I was just tired & a bad training night why I felt dizzy & kinda shaky, maybe I hadn’t eat enough? Hydrated enough? Electrolytes off? Who knows? Could have been several reasons. I’m not very good at accepting a bad training night where I feel like I got nothing accomplished. But; I gotta pick myself back up! 👍 of course then it’s constantly on my mind to figure out why it was a bad training session so I can learn from it, lol. I guess we have to work around those days & learn from them & listen to our bodies in order to stay healthy if we want to continue long term training. I’m so bad at that!!! 😱 It’s like a old bad habit from a young age, we used to be taught in gymnastics & sports “no pain, no gain” & ignore the pain & put issues aside, just push through & go on. But I’m just now trying to change that habit since im not getting any younger I gotta train smarter...That’s been one of the hardest things for me to do since I’ve never done that. But I’m seeing it’s gonna come back & be worse on me if I don’t. Sure hope it was just a bad training night. We’ll see. At least tomorrow is a new day.

Anyone can exercise no matter your age, your fitness levels, anything! Just say yes and get out and there and give it a go! Never feel embarrassed or that you shouldn’t be doing it, anyone can do it and no one should judge anyone! If you know someone who is too nervous then encourage them and help them, all someone needs is some support and they will get there 💫
There comes a moment in life when you feel like enough is enough, nimefika mwisho and I just can't.
You wish that you can die or Earth can just swallow you up.
You end up regretting on so many decisions you made in the past. At that point, they made sense but now , they don't.
You become totally afraid to move on.
God says, do not be afraid! BE STRONG know that I am God.
That little faith can save you an entire life!

If I were to step outside of my social conditioning, all of the things I’ve been told or taught, all of the clever marketing schemes and normative ideas about how the way things “should be” , how do I really feel, deep down.
Journal about it. Speak about it and most importantly act on it. I think we all need to do what we feel is called towards in our hearts. To really be us. Who we are without being afraid.
What are your thoughts?
