What a wonderful afternoon spent with some of my coworkers out in the Niagara Peninsula! A little wine tasting (very little as I was driving!) followed by a wonderful brunch at a really cute winery.
We could not have asked for a more gorgeous day, 10 degrees & sunny! It makes me crave spring so bad but I know it is too soon to get out in the garden. In the meantime I will take these pockets of gorgeous days!!
Shout out to this lady right here! Without Brooke’s encouragement (insistence, really) that I COULD in fact be a great fitness instructor, and I SHOULD in fact take that training, and I WOULD in fact have a place to teach at @pumpfitnessjenks , I don’t know if I ever would have taken that plunge. Teaching #shinedancefitness and bonding with the amazing women at Pump Fitness has been the brightest light in an otherwise dark and difficult season of my life these last several months, and I will be forever grateful to this beautiful friend of mine for making it so! 💖💖💖 #sidehug#grateful
When you get busted taking a selfie after your run 🤷🏼♀️. I decided to take my long run to the course I’ll be racing on in 2 weeks. It was so good to remind myself of the challenges I’ll face as I chase my goal, but also to instill some confidence in myself that I CAN and WILL do it. No miles were left un-run this week. I dare say it was a near perfect week in training. Thank you guys for the support! 😘

Tepatnya hari minggu kemarin tanggal 25 Februari saya mendapatkan kesempatan yang luar biasa untuk menghadiri acara yang diselenggarakan beberapa anak kece anak muda Balikpapan yaitu #intimatediscussionwithhetifah @hetifah selaku perwakilan anggota DPR RI Kaltim & Kaltara. Awalnya saya pikir bahwa ini kegiatan yang tidak terlalu menyenangkan karna bisa saja lebih banyak Beliau yang bicara dibanding kami anak muda yang ingin menyampaikan aspirasi kami. Eitsss TERNYATA ENGGAK!!! Sampai sana kami duduk membentuk posisi huruf U sehingga semua audiensi bisa melihat satu sama lain dan saat sebelum acara berlangsung kami diminta untuk memperkenalkan diri. Dari perkenalan diri saja acara ini udah dijamin engga membosankan hingga saatnya mulai acara ini yaitu berbincang dengan anggota politisi yaitu Ibu @hetifah melihat profil beliau yang banyak sekali gelar dan pengalamannya membuat saya iri dan saya ingin menjadi seperti beliau luar biasa bukan menjadi perwakilan perempuan untuk duduk dibangku perwakilan suara rakyat Indonesia? Hingga masuk sesi tanya jawab semua anak muda Balikpapan mewakili komunitas,organisasi hingga institusi dapat memberikan aspirasi, saran maupun kritik mengenai pemerintahan dan beliau begitu sabar,santun dalam menjawab pertanyaan bahkan semua pertanyaan yang ada beliau jawab dengan penjelasan yang cukup memuaskan kurang lebih 3 jam kami berdiskusi tidak terasa. Salah satu hal yang menarik disini juga adanya teman-teman dari Komunitas Semut yang merupakan perwakilan dari kawan-kawan tuna runggu dan ada juga translatornya sehingga acara ini sangat lengkap dengan keberagaman yang dimiliki masing-masing audiensi. Harapan saya sebenarnya dalam acara ini bahwa segala aspirasi, saran maupun kritik kami bisa disampaikan kepada para politisi yang lain yang bisa dijadikan pertimbangan terlebih isu mengenai pendidikan, anak jalanan, kesejahteran dan masih banyak lagi. Acara ini cukup pas dikemasnya sehingga semuanya berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses. Seperti reuni kecil buat saya. Yesterday was my first Max out day in a very very long day. Hit some training PR's at 100/135kg (220/296#). Definitely revealed some habits that need some work, but also got to work on the skill of lifting heavy. It also yielded some great discussion with @team_florida_forever about where we go from here. This year I will master the muscle up. My goal is to turn the muscle up into a basic pull up, this means being able to hit clean sets of 10-12 reps no worries both on straight bar and rings.
