◇ 052/365: February 21th. A grumpy #junimo from #stardewvalley , because I just started a new game and have been addicted to it ever since. They were suposed to look much more adorable, but I've had some trouble recreating the pixel art style haha.
◇ 051/365: February 20th. It was my father's birthday and we went to celebrate with some friends at the restaurant. I've tried taking a polaroid picture but it was way too dark and the film ended up pitch black. 😭
Catching up on the past few days of #stitchventure for #nationalembroiderymonth . Day 18 was the bullion knot used for the coral flowers. I hadn’t used this before and didn’t much love it, but I forced myself to make several for practice. Red, white and blue for day 19 blossomed on the hillside as red and white clover, and mountain bluets. Flower Power on day 20 added some more flowers around the bottom, and greens only for day 21 provided the foliage. More flowers are coming, but I don’t have time today!#dmcthreads#stitchaday#gulushthreads
Week 7 of #1yearofstitches2018 ! Late sharing this again but hey, that’s just who I am.
Day 44: a crappy little snow flake for all the snow up north ❄️
Day 45: #Hereford cathedral. My all time favourite building 🙌🏻
Day 46: I found all my old piano music and I can STILL play it ❤️🎹
Day 47: travelled to London for a reunion with my fave friend 👯♀️
Day 48: hung out at the Tate Modern and became hypnotised by the giant pendulum
Day 49: visited the dinosaurs in @crystalpalacepark. That’s right. Dinosaurs 🦕🦖 Day 50: landed back in #Calgary . It’s good to be home 🇨🇦
◇ 050/365: I feel like I've just reached a milestone. ☆ After worrying about what to drawn for today's update, I've settled down with a minimalist rainbow - inspired by the #WriteADay app. This is also my first attempt mixing up embroideries and watercolors. What do you think about it? (:
The end of Mardi Gras and the start of lent always feels more like the new year to me. It was an early and fast Carnival, but another great one full of so many amazing costumes and creative people. Mardi Gras is a chance to absolutely express yourself. After Barkus it was too hard to keep up with my embroidery so I stopped. This swirly explosion color is me making up for more than a week of no doodles. I think it represents the last week well. Also, a bruised banana I ate for breakfast today. Back to a #stitchaday
♡ Stitch a day ♡
So much updates! Probably too many to explain. But my faves this time are the Pride Rainbow for the ones I love, there's quite a few this time representing my last week at Kindercare 😢 : the pukeko, microphone for Moana karaoke with my ngā pēpe, and the huia feathers for a new journey.
◇ 048/365: I got a little carried away with the branches, the roses were suposed to be stitched tomorrow hahaha. I really want to finish it today but I'm down with a cold and don't have the energy to stitch. 😭
