Beautiful mountain vistas along the highway near White Sulphur Springs, Montana. After a full morning of driving across the plains of eastern Montana, the first foothills of the Rockies made for quite a sight. Photo taken July 5, 2005.

A rather busy scene in Boston, with the Castle Island fortification up front, the Boston skyline in the background, and a busy cargo port about halfway between. This was taken as our cruise ship, the Norwegian Dawn, exited Boston Harbor to enter Massachusetts Bay. The Castle Island fort has been in this location since 1634, and you can see why. It is in a perfect location to stop would-be attackers before they could hit the city. Photo taken May 16, 2014.
"May the flowers remind us
why the rain was so necessary."
I love this quote because the words are filled with so much truth, and it relates so much to life. Each of us experience different things at different times of our lives, and we can often get stuck in one spot, obsessing and worrying over everything that is going wrong. In those moments, it is so important to remember that through the hardships and trials, there is hope. Sometimes it takes a storm to grow the flowers, just as it takes some hard times to reach the light and see the positive. However, there is a reason for each season of your life, so always try to look for the good in every situation. It is there, sometimes you've just gotta dig a little deeper.
