An absolutely beautiful way to start the day, feeding my mind, soul, and body with fresh air 🌲, God’s word 📖, & my healthy coffee ☕️
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
Kapalabhati Breath (Shining Skull / Breath of Fire)
A traditional internal cleansing technique which keeps you alert & focused and reduces sleepyness by boosting energy. This breath also stokes the internal fire of transformation and connects to the sacral chakra (centre of our feelings) and solar plexus chakra (centre of our inner power). It cleanses the lungs & respiratory system, increases oxygen to cells, strengthens the abs, improves digestion, brings focus, builds heat in the body & releases toxins. It can be an invigorating way to start the day done first thing in the morning before breakfast!
You can practice in a comfortable seated position or, as demonstrated here, in chair position with the hands on the thighs. First, take a deep breath in through the nose then exhale out all the air through the mouth, then breathe in again through the nose and exhale with a sharp out breath through the nose pulling the stomach in (drawing navel in towards spine). Let the inhale come naturally as the belly balloons out again with the in breath and pings back tensing in on the each exhale. You can count the rounds eg 3 rounds of 20 breaths like this. At the end of the last round close the eyes let the breath return to your natural rythum and observe the sensations in the body. (As always stop if it doesn't feel right and practice at first with a qualified instructor!) 🔥🔥🔥 #yoga#yogaeveryday#yogainspiration#myyogalife#yogajourney#breathe#pranaflow#pranayama#breathoffire#Kapalabhati#Breath#kapalabhatibreath#skullshiningbreath#shiningskullbreath#releasetoxins#energyboost#energising#starttheday#transformation#innerfire#solarplexuschakra
