As my Jordan year (23) is coming to an end next month, I wanted to reflect on what I’ve been up to for the last year. Last July, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Shortly after, I earned my CSCS, certifying my as a strength and conditioning coach, something I had been working on for nearly five years.
Now, I work as a S&C coach for @titanelitestrength in Tualatin, OR. It’s my goal to work and better myself in this profession as much as I can. So I’ll be sharing a lot more of my journey in this field with you! Hopefully, some of you will enjoy it as much as I do.
Father son workouts make for a great accountabili-buddy and awesome bonding experience for both! Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, couples and friends all are fantastic training partners! Train together, stay together.

Low Back Pain
My personal beliefs for low back pain is determining what is causing the pain, whether it be excessive stress, hip mobility, thoracic mobility, core weakness, etc. I also believe in getting the back stronger so it’s able to handle more stresses and the pain doesn’t come back.
Here is a series of exercises I like to utilize for building strength and resiliency in the low back.
1️⃣ Kettlebell Deadlift - always a favorite for low back patients (and for anyone to be honest)
2️⃣ Single Arm Kettlebell Deadlift - Unilateral loafing increases core engagement, I cued her to not lean to the weighted side
3️⃣ Single Arm Farmers Carry - another unilateral loading to increase core recruitment, you are challenging the opposite side that the kettlebell is on

Power is the ability to produce force quickly. And the quicker you can produce force, the faster and stronger you'll be on the field.
Power training in the gym focuses on moving moderate to heavy weight at a higher speed, here's a couple key tips to help improve your power training
🏋️ Strength Training: build a solid foundation of strength so that you can control heavier weights
⚡️Plyometrics: add in body weight plyo exercises to train your body to create and absorb force quickly
🚀Powerlifting: Olympic lifts done with lighter weights at first then building up as technique improves. Teaches body how to produce power using additional weight
REACTIVE AGILITY ➖ is an essential skill in sports performance. The stimulus that causes movement can be auditory, visual, kinaesthetic or a combination! Here it’s an verbal cue followed by a physical cue that cause the athlete to change direction at speed. DM or email us to find out more!
COORDINATION ➡️ CONTROL ➡️ SPEED
Movement of different limbs in the body in a particular pattern, with control first and then speed. Also used as a base level agility skill for preparing the athlete to progress to more sports specific drills that simulate game movements and skills!

Working on running form and working to strengthen those muscles. In this workout we connect the Jump Trainer and Kinetic Bands at the same time. We were able to get the hip flexor work which is probably most important in young athletes with the #kineticbands and the power through the stride with the Jump Trainer. This was probably the most effective speed training drill we have done to date because the combination of training tools. @dp2nice @youngdp @thatruth7
