"If you're lost out where the lights are blinding
Caught in all, the stars are hiding
That's when something wild calls you home"
Had the opportunity to do some snowshoeing in the mountains of Colorado yesterday with some friends (my first time!). After a day hike at over 10,000 feet above sea level, we returned with our gear to get some shots of the stars. Light from the nearby eastern portal of the Moffat Tunnel lit up the mountain side just below a great view of the cosmos.
Shot details: 20 seconds @ f/2.8 12mm ISO 12800 Custom WB. Shot with a Fuji x-t2 and rokinon wide angle 12mm 2.8 #fuji#rokinon

It's always further than it looks, it's always taller than it looks. And it's always harder than it looks. These, are the three most important rules of mountaneering. They teach us to be modest, humble, but most of all to be grateful. Grateful for what we do, for what we are, and thankful for what Mother Nature gave us ❄.
