Yes I was bad! I had fries.
Temptation kills diets.... (false) I chose to eat them and I don't regret it. It's okay to have a bad meal every week. The problem is that some of us eat bad all week and that my friends is the truth. 👐 You can't expect to lose weight or tone up when you give your body more fat than protein or nutrients.
You don't have to eat right all of the time, but you do have to eat right most of the time.
This was my Lunch
Spicy grilled Salmon on a bed of fries and a side of steamed veggies.
haven't been to @eatpokebros in a bit & today felt like a good day for poke! I went with my usual spicy salmon, avocado, edamame, cucumbers, & ginger on brown rice with their awesome gluten free OG sauce. As I've posted before, almost everything at Poke Bros is GF and customizable; gluten items are marked on the menu and easily avoided. Such good, fresh flavors!
My loyalty to favorite dishes is a bit of a family joke... but I just like what I like! 😋 How about you - do you go for the tried & true or new culinary adventures?
I wish I could remember the names of the magnificently flavorful #sushi I had the pleasure of having here in day 3 of #Plattsburgh after a wonderfully long day of students and bowling. All I can tell you is that diversity of the palette leads to varying paths of satisfaction. Imagine being able to stretch your buds to hit several different paths, all leading to a pleasurable thud on that very goal? That was the journey these rolls took me on. From the seared #steak and #shrimp#tempura to #spicysalmon and #tuna , with even some #creamcheese mixed in, it’s a cacophony of flavors that perfectly represented today: different objectives, same end result. #dinner#lit
🌟Day 98🌟Dinner- roasted vegetable couscous with Cajun salmon. All thrown into the oven for 20mins, mixed the veggies with the couscous and you’re away for slates. Synfree and filling yet light. Current mood:🥗 #slimmingworld#slimmingworlduk#slimmingworldireland
My Food Tour Experience:
Poke Lab- I watched Mark Weins’s YouTube video, so I know how a poke looks like even I have never tried it before. It seems a trend now in KL. My hubby told me he had seen one in Sunway Pyramid before, but he got no idea what it was that time and how to order. Indeed, it’s “complicated” if the seller didn’t “do” much in educating your customers.
After watching Mark Weins’s video, we want to try once at least. So we decided to visit the Poke Lab in Empire Subang. We, my hubby and I, and baby in stroller ... stand about 3-5 minutes in front of the cafe and no one was trying to welcome or even talk or explain to us how it should be done or at least how should I order? So, after 5 minutes of study at the poster on the wall and tv hanging on top, we were happily trying to make our order at cashier. This time, someone came and when we started to ask some questions, the cashier handed a “form” to me with a pencil to let me choose what I want. So I was like “Ahhhhhh ....... ic.” Down there, my right hand wanted to crush the pencil...!
With the form, it makes things much more easier, we just tick what we want.
Here the photo of the poke I “customize”. Those things I can have, I just tick it all, I am not a food picker, so far what they have in the list looks healthy and no harm for a try.
They have soy sauce salmon, spicy salmon and octopus to choose. Guess what I have? Of course spicy la... it turned out pretty good (I tried soy sauce salmon & octopus later on, spicy salmon still the best). But when u tick all in the list, beware there is a wasabi. When u mix all the ingredients, make sure you dig it out and place it somewhere “safe”, and smartly dip it when you want.
Overall, I rate 3 out of 5, simply because after eating it, I felt more healthy hahahahahahhaaha ... #malaysia#selangor#poke#pokelab#pokeinkl#loha#healthyfood#wasabi#spicysalmon#empiresubang#babyfriendly
