This wasn’t for me. This is for everyone who believes in me, the ones who see me week in week out, who trust in me and got me here. In 2011 i was a front desk greeter at a health club in Downtown Houston, i was denied to be a personal trainer, i lacked experience (no shit I’m fresh out of college), i wasn’t cut out to be a trainer, one guy saw my potential and put his money where his mouth is, thank you Todd, and thank you to all my clients and friends who believed in me, and @tpaula89 😘! #thisisonlythebeginning#gymjones#themindisprimary#ocr#spartanrace#trainerlife#trainer#thankyou @gymjonessalvation #letsgo
Spartan Hot Tip! (Literally) Pop one of these in your sports bra or sweater/shorts pockets before, after, or during cold and wet races. Also great for little Spartans! I forever will be grateful to the woman who saw me desperately wet and freezing at snow line in Tahoe. I wasn’t being a wimp, I was breaching hypothermia and no matter what I didn’t I couldn’t get my core temp back up. I even did burpees for the hell of it!! Popped one in my sports bra and it worked amazingly! Those early start times can be brutal too! I wish I had these after my race in Seattle. I was super cold (not freezing) but I would have enjoyed these greatly. This year - I’m prepared! Gearing up for the race season doesn’t just mean new race shoes and shorts. .
You know what sounds like a good idea? Being blasted with liquid nitrogen to a temperature of -222 degrees Fahrenheit (-141 Celsius) for 3 minutes 😳.
Actually cryotherapy has many health benefits including athletic recovery. Check out @mainecryospa in Falmouth ME if you want to experience it for yourself. Make sure to mention my name when you go!!!
